Sending freepost items recorded?

Now I need to know if items are still insured via freepost? Up to £46 like 1st or 2nd class??

I assumed so but now I'm questioning everything.

First you need to pay the postage to be covered, with business post you don't so the answer is no.

Apologies, I meant unrecorded freepost (still trying to establish whether freepost can be sent recorded, letter on it's way soon).

Everywhere I have read says that freepost is covered up to £46 just like 1st and 2nd class, but with this potential recorded bombshell, I'm not so sure.

Thought we got to the stage in the argument that we all now know Recorded is not allowed to be used on freepost, hence no Recorded insurance of £46 but if you still want to argue that it can be, count me out as I have made my argument, and don't intend in going round in circles.

Wrong, recorded carries UP TO £46 insurance/compensation, it would be fraud to claim for a loss you have not suffered.

One thing the lady on the phone mentioned, which I forgot to add earlier, is that Freepost addresses quite often don't exist, in that they aren't an actual physical address. For example, the royal mail themselves have a freepost address but it isn't an actual physical place, hence why there would be no one on the end to sign for it. So you need a physical address to send recorded.

Writing the letter this week (or at least, my uncle is).
