I see what youre saying here but i dont really like the intentions of it.
At work, i help alot of people but i hardly ever get a thanks, but then i would rather be thanked once in a year by someone who was sincere, than thanked 10 times, but only because the person thanking wanted more out of it.
its nice to say thanks but i wouldnt expect anything in return the shop staff will be so shocked to hear a thanks instead of a moan they will have let you leave the shop before thinking maybe they should have rewarded you.(where are you planning to get your house?£200 wont go far at all!!!):eek:0 -

I know that if you send a letter of thanks to ADSA and name the person you are thanking in your letter that person gets a little bonus.0

Time for a name change by deed poll Dave? Perhaps the name Bond - James Bond might have a better effect?0 -
I tried this recently, but got nothing.
A few years ago I also decided email companies out of the blue with the following simple message: "Free sample please!"

I am not really bothered about getting a freebie or not - I just think that we are all to quick to complain if things are bad ( I am not saying we shouldn't)
- but I do think we should praise people more when they do a good job........ I certainly would not do it IN ORDER to try and get a freebie, put it that way.
I totally agree. We should complain about poor service, etc but equally we should acknowledge good service, we all like to receive a "thank you" for a job well done. :TFAIRTRADE NOT FREE TRADE
