Hi! Thanks for telling me about this, I love this idea. We're getting married next year so it's something I'll have to try and remember to do nearer the time (can't imagine chocolate would last 12 months in our house, lol.) Did you tell them you were looking for wedding favours?

What a nice idea re: the wedding favours.

I think I'd like to join this club - despite what some have said I think it would be nice to give praise - especially as it may also help the person who deserves that praise (as demonstrated on many of the postings on this thread). And if we happen to receive something in return then that's a pleasant but unecessary bonus!

Hello, i emailed an online company who i buy beauty things from-to say thank you for my recent order as i had free delivery and three free gifts too....and asked if they do any samples of other products. I received 20 samples two days later and more offers on my next order-so very happy!

Some time ago I posted a letter to Muller complimenting them on their kids fromage frais as my dd loves them, they sent me some vouchers and a lovely letter :)

I think I will join in with this, I work voluntarily for a childrens autism charity and sometimes send quite straightforward begging letters on their behalf, Sony were stars and sent us a reconditioned PS2, games and Eye Toy! They do check that you're a charity first though, so no naughty blagging! We send thank you letters as a matter of course though, and it is well worth it because people are more willing to support us when they see we appreciate their help. Appreciation and support all round :D

  • Hi,

I have been doing this for a while and it really works. I recieve lots of thank you letters for my compliments with vouchers and freebies. I didn't expect them to send me all this stuff-but it proves that companies really care!:j

  • nick whilst I and others appreciate this thread please can you refrain from capping your letters ( its seen as shouting in internet terms ) and use black font only there are people out there like me who cannot read posts because of the glaring red and blue lettering.
