  • Hi,

I get loaaaddds for doing this. It really cheers up peoples day, and makes them feel they really count. I do not expect freebies or coupons, but recieve lots because companies are so nice. I think we should complain about bad service, however, equally awknowledge good service as it will cheer up someones day.

I too have sent letters to companies to thank them for their good products or services. Some just send and e-mail back thanking me for my comments - others have sent me lovely freebies!

At first I did it in the hope of getting something for free - now I do it because it makes me feel good!!

PS Carte Do'r have a "get in touch page" where they ask for your opinions on their range - which I did and got a £2 voucher in the post today!

(Hope I did that link right!);)

I like to acknowledge good & helpful service, but idleness & meanness make this something I usually only do by email - it's nice to do it for the people who do have gd manners & try to help; if a freebie comes from it, bonus! Sometimes it's nice to do it for no reward anyway; ambulance, fire-crews & library staff (inter alia) deserve praise!

When you write to companies, no way should you ask for products, they probably will send you something anyway.

  • This is a great idea!! Harry Ramsden's tend to be quite generous with their freebies - I received a £10 voucher :j the other day, for emailing them to say how absolutely GORGEOUS their fish and chips are. The thing is, I aint lying, it really is gorgeous!!

  • Might try Harrys then, love their food anyway.... thanks...
  • (Hi)

If you write to companies, expressing your love for their products, they will usually send you some coupons/freebies for taking the time and trouble. Why not try this for one month, and see who has got the most. Please post your name and i will add you to the 'participants' list. Also, please post all finds and ideas here.

    Thanks!

Hmmm sounds a bit immoral to me just to be "nice" to get things in return. Surely showing that you're truely grateful for a good service or product is worth the reciving party's happiness on it's own without expecting things in return. :A
