    Afternoon everyone,
Well over the weekend i got myself a little notepad to use as a weightloss/inchloss diary and a tape measure.
so this morning took all measurements as follows
i have written it down like this(if there is a better way could someone please tell me?)
    date:17/04/07
    height:5ft 2 inch
    weight:15st10lb
    waist:47inch
    hips:55inch
    right thigh:25inch
    left thigh:24inch
    bust under:42inch
    bust over:48inch

so it turns out i have lost 4lb w/o really trying yeay!!!!!!
couldnt go to gym/weight losst thing at sports centre today kids are all being sick :(
i have also written this down for me to have as my meal diary(can anyone tell me if this is ok or not and what i should change if anything)
breakfast:2 weetabix 1 cup of milk or 2 slices toast with marg
    snack:fruit or cereal bar
    dinner:sandwich,fruit and cereal bar
    snack:fruit or cereal bar
    tea:spaghetti bolognese
    curry and chips
    chicken w pasta in sauce
    pasta in sauce meal
    jacket potato and beans
    beans on toast
these are what i can have w/o changing too much of what we already buy now, and without having to go over budget for our weekly/monthly shopping money.
i have dramatically reduced my portion sizes from a plate the size i give to my OH to a plate the size i give to my kids.
Besides the (roughly) 30/40 mins walking to school and back each day how much more do i need to do exercise? i have a exercise bike, rowing machine, skipping rope, my stairs(lol) and a tae bo dvd(cant use this as i need to get the beginner one this is the advanced one and its real difficult)

Thanks for reading and sorry for rambling(lol)
p.s. anyone know where i can get help for the OH? he is underweight (according to the tables we use) and cant put weight on, he east as much as me if not more and cant put weight on, its getting him down though which is why i ask.

p.p.s edit to add, i will be drinking water or the kids no sugar dilute juice

I`m still not pooing normally,it goes from one extreme to the other. Also I`ve been having alot of nightmares recently, not sure if that it connected to dieting but they have only happened these last couple of weeks.I do need to get myself in some sort of exercise routine what I can stick to,I just havent thought of one yet!

    Hi Hazzie

The excercise will definitely help, but meanwhile try massaging your lower abdomen gently with your fingers with slow circular actions up from the top of your right thigh, across the abdomen, down, and back across and repeat a couple of times. Try doing this this a few times, as and when you can, I found that it helped me and was easy to do in bed when you're lying down. Hope it helps you too

    :T :T WooooHoooo Top notch stuff puddings and Victory:T :T :T congrats on the BMI :T :T

Good to see you back ice ....

...and karren, don't think about what you've put back on, you are back on track, just keep thinking positively

???? Am I the only one here to read beanies posts with a Scottish accent :rotfl: :rotfl: ????? My MIL hailed from Fraserburgh and as soon as I see the word 'wee' I'm there....

I've asked this question when at my SW class and my consultant didn't know - the weight they give you for a HE is for RAW meat. No good if you want ham or whatever. I'd be interested to know too. I'll try and remember to ask next week - or I'll look online on their website to see if it will help.

I've had this problem before and it's quite frustrating - if I'm dishing up a family meal it would be more useful to know portion sizes for cooked food!

I've found out that the allowance for raw beef is 85g, with a bit of luck I'll be able to calculate how much cooked meat that is equal to.

Once I've started the diet I'll join in with this thread properly :)

    Well done petrichor:j :j

Rach have also done the measurements, it is a fantastic idea, I was told to do it right at the beginning and it really saves you giving up if the scales are not so good because you can see it shrinking:j

Well motivated by this thread, I took the plunge and enrolled at weight watchers today. Not really sure I understand it all yet, but know the core plan will be better for me, I cant stop at just one piece of chocolate, better to not have it at all.
    Any tips welcome!!!

    susie drink loads of water:D

Get rid of anything that is lurking in the cupboards that is not healthy friendly, eat lots of fruit and veg, keep up the exercise, lots of it, be active, take your measurements now so you can reflect later, keep a food diary, get some support either from here or your friends etc, think of mini small goals, you want to loose 2 lb by or your want to loose 7 lb for so and so's wedding, keep them realistic and achievable, buy muti-grain ryvita crackers (lovely!) snack on cucmber slices, pepper slices, sugar free jelly, crackers, fruit....

Well done susieb 'diving in' :T I am in full agreement with you that if you have a problem resisting any particular food, then cut it out completely if you can. You don't expect an ex-smoker to have 1 cigarette just for the treat. I hope you have great success and keep posting.

rach! I think you must be one of the bravest people I know, you put me to shame!! but do you think you could edit your measurements to show your height as well please? You certainly seem to be going in the right direction and I'm sure you'll soon see the weight dropping off and please feel free to ramble on as much as you want to :D

HI all ,well done all the losers.

I have been very good and resisted the scales all week..:D SO just hoping have lost the 1/2lb put on last week on thursday.

Made my own version of cheese sauce to put on some pasta, with peas, sweetcorn and ham. Anyone know how much syns it is for cornflour or mustard? I used milk from allowance and melted in 4 lite dairylea triangles, plus ff fromage frais. One DS loved it, other threw a fit and refused to eat it. How can they say they dont like it just by looking at it???

Have tried to look at ( and understand) the mix2match but havent quite got the hang of it.:rotfl: Where are you consultant??:o
