Good start to day 1 - 90 min walk with the dog and ipod.
Its a lovely morning here and it really blew away the cobwebs!
Just hope I keep the momentum all day.
Have a good day!0 -
Morning Rachel - gosh I had forgotten how well walked that dog of your was!
I'm going to my parents for dinner today with all the family and have been asked to make and bring a mars bar cheesecake  How am I going to resist that
Anyhow, will try and be good all day until I get there and will maybe have a teeny bit. There is soooo much temptation in my house at the minute - Easter eggs :EasterBun VictoryI don't know how you do it - I obviosuly have zero willpower - I'd definately have crumbled at your SIL if I'd been offered any of that - I guess thats my problem tho - best to stay away from temptation. I'd agreed with friends/family that buy my kids at Easter and I buy in return that we would not do eggs this year to avoid temptation- seems I'm the only one who stuck to it - I bought tshirts, books, grow your own sunflowers kits instead
Best go, DS and DD are looking for their brekkie. Its a glorious day here again today and I hope you are all getting the sunshine too - Happy Easter :easter_os
PS - Just dawned on me I've a wedding in 2 weeks (was 2 weeks yday)- how may pounds do you think I can lose between now and then - and how? :rotfl:0 -
Hi All
Hope thebrought you all
or not as the case may be
.... For those of you trying hard not to be tempted, well, do your best but a bit of chocolate won't harm you.
That fruit thingy stuff is the first I've heard of it toobut anything is worth a try so I'll give it further consideration.....
....Victory... well! what can I say about your strong willpower :A Don't mind what some of your relatives didn't say, your sister spoke the truth.
Welcome back Rach and well done for only gaining 5lbs in the meantime, you could so easily have taken to comfort eating.
Have a nice day everyone, I'm going to be gardening and stuff as the weather is so nice. Did the dinner prep yesterday so family can just help themselves as and when...
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Stilerin – You sure make slimming world sound tempting. I have looked on their website and though there are lots of people to testify that it does work I cannot find details of why. Do you have a good link that explains food combining you could post for me? I would love to know more about it. I am thinking of putting Mr Play2day on this regime but not telling him!;)
Play2day, I'm sure that SW has a website with loads of recipes etc, but to get the 'bare bones' of the 'rules', free food, red and green days etc, you will need to get one of their handbooks. I bet if you ask around your friends someone will have one lurking in a cupboard. The 'rules' aren't at all difficult, but the lists are quite lengthy. Once you have got your head around it, you can alter ordinary recipes to fit.
I've only had fruit so far today, 'cos I'm off out for a roast beef lunch soon. Enjoy your weekend every one....0 -
Hello!
Happy Easter :easter_ba
I've been thinking for a little while that I need to get dieting again, however this time I want to do it OS - as cheap as possible, to protect as much as possible of my last ever student loan instalment! I had a really successful run on Slim-Fast a while ago, but it costs a fortune, so an alternative must be found. I've been trying to be OS for a little while now, and unfortunately love eating what I bake and cook a little too much! So what I propose is a little challenge/support thread - my personal challenge is to be comfortably back in a size 12 for graduation (early July, not sure of the exact no of lb's to be assassinated yet) - anyone game?
UPDATE
Right, we're underway tomorrow (09/04/07) until (11/07/07) - best of luck to you all, and keep posting on here so we can keep each other going when you just *have* to have that biscuit (or the whole pack!) or when the going gets tough.
Weekly weigh-ins every Monday, and please feel free to add any recipes/tips/websites that work for you, I'll edit this post every Monday evening to reflect our new weights so we can see how far we've come!
A couple of websites I thought might be useful:
https://www.fitday.com (free online diet/exercise diary - they have lovely charts and things)
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-does-200-calories-look-like.htm - 200 cal portions of various foods, might help?

I'm up for that!!!!!!! I need to lose at least 3 stone, after giving up smoking I ballooned  The trouble I have is dieting OS, whilst also feeding the family, I don't really want to be cooking lots of separate meals.Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0

Brilliant! Any more for any more?
Oh heck, just went and finally stepped on the scales
So my aim is 2lb per week 'til 11/07 (just did the maths and that would make be 10st - in my dreams :rotfl: ) - we shall see anyway...
I have finals to contend with/survive before then, which will no doubt have a detrimental effect on the scales, but also will be walking 200km for my D of E before graduation, so hopefully they'll even out!2007 Bronze Olympic Challenge: Total £1057.34 :jDFW Nerd 269: Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0
