Thanks for the welcome. I started excersising 4 weeks ago I weighed after the first fourtnight and I had lost 4lbs. Weighed again week 3 and had gained 1lb and this week have stayed the same. I had been away for a weekend when I put on the 1lb so not too disheartened.
I hope to excersise as much as I can as I enjoy my food too much to diet, but I have been over to the OS board and have been cooking meals from scratch for a few weeks (tastes soooo good).
I bought a bike which turned up on Monday (Put togther by my wonderful OH) and I have been going to Boxcersise for 4 weeks.
Thanks again!0 -
In your eyes I may not look "overweight" from that picture, but I DO have weight to lose, just because I am not a size 30 doesnt mean that I have to be or am happy about my weight & wouldnt like to lose it. If I could lose weight like a "normal" person it wouldnt be such a focus, but because I cant it means that it is all I can think about and obsess over.
I am choosing low fat foods AND exercising, more than your average person, and it isnt working. That is exactly why I am so frustrated!!
Hi Ms_London
Sorry if you felt ignored previously, unfortunately it does happen sometimes, so don't take it personally. I hope it doesn't happen again, but if it does it might be worth reposting, or reminding us of your post
I can appreciate the difficulties you have with your condition, as, although I don't suffer with it myself I sometimes feel that no matter what I do to lose weight, it doesn't make any difference. And, you're probably thinking as I do that if you weren't doing anything to lose weight, you'd be getting steadily larger!! So all the effort that you're putting in is merely maintaining your current weight.
I haven't got any advice to offer, so I hope you get some constructive help at your appointment - good luck.

Lois i have lost 1/2 a lb. not too bothered that its only as small one as i have been watching calories but it's only my first week and i've not perfected it yet.
Plus lack of sleep/excess revision has driven me to have a few 'treats' that i shouldnt have - i have discovered that asda brand diet red bull comes in cranberry flavour, and has only 30 cals in a big bottle! that's been my biggest treat as it tastes scrummy and keeps me awake....i know the caffiene and additives are bad for me but at least it's diet=low sugar low cal, and i need to stay awake and focussed! HOWEVER, OH also bought me some choc peanuts:eek: fat/calories thru the roof!! have been munching them sparingly!!!)
First exam over today *phew* and i think it went ok. fingers crossed for the rest!
ms_london i'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. i'm sorry i cant advise regarding your condition, but good luck at your appointment.
same to you freebiehunter29
well done bindiboo, erlqueen, juststarting for your losses! :T (sorry if i left anyone out!:o )
LoopyLou congrats on the clothes, must feel great to have some lovely new things that fit well! i'm really pleased for you.:T :j
Suggs glad you had a good birthday. The weight/size measurement stuff is so confusing, but at least you know about your 'big bones' now and it wont cause you any weight upset in the future.
beanielou, never mind about the gain. do you have any idea why it happend?? perhaps you could 'mix it up' a bit and try different food/exercise combos?? sorry i cant b of much help!
thanks for the link petrichor, i will have a go at those exercises as soon as i have time. and btw i love the badger!!:o
welcome cathchat hope you find this thread helpful. perhaps you could tell us more about yourself and why and how you want to lose weight. ---EDIT you just did!! hehe! glad you've started cooking from scratch, it's so good for you and helps weight loss as avoids added fats/sugars in pre-prepared food (so long as you dont eat too much of your yummy home made food! hehe!!!)
Hi to everyone else, and good luck with weigh in! (and i'm gonna get back to the revison!)

Hi Lois,
Can you take me off the chart for the time being please - due to lack of motivation. I do have reasons to be motivated (eg 2 x bridesmaid duties coming up in June and July) but I just can't seem to get started back into it again. I think I have gained about 2lbs but havent been watching what I am eating so its to be expected. I don't feel that I should post on here as I can't really dish out advice that I am not taking heed of myself - I'm not looking for sympathy or anything, I'm just totally de-motivated at the minute and it would be false of me to continue posting until I get my head sorted out again. You can tell me what I need to do etc but the old saying "you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink" rings in my head lol! I will read from afar so in the interim GOOD LUCK to all of you with the challenge of losing weight. I hope to be back with you all soon!!0 -
Sorry I overlooked you this morning loopy-loo73 but despite you not losing anything this week your post was so positive and uplifting :j and great news re the new clothes :T .....
....and *zippy* What a great result 4.5lbs :T It's been years since I looked at any diet books, but as Rosemary Conellyhas been around for years she must be doing something right. You'll soon find something that suits you, even if you 'mix and match'
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
