Freebiehunter29 - Morning! (for me!) - Thanks again for your post, sorry to hear about your health issues too!! I guess we both need to be happy we are not gaining, and I am sure things will be better for you when your meds are sorted - you've lost 10lbs which is fab, so dont be too hard on yourself, and if you can control what you are doing 90% of the time then you shouldnt be too hard on yourself. Obviously you cant control your epilepsy so it sounds as though you are doing really despite what you are up against.

Honey28 - I appreciate it is a very busy thread, I just really needed some support, but thats ok, I understand everyone has their own problems to deal with. Got my next appointment at the end of this week so I shall know more then, I really hope its nothing too serious!! I have convinced myself of the worst! Must stop watching Grey's Anatomy & trying to diagnose myself!!!

Suggs - Ok, I'll let you off because you are of the male species;) . Just dont do it again!! You are doing really well with your weight loss by the way, hats off to you!!

Petrichor - You have far too much time on your hands!!:p I have had the condition since birth so you would think I would be used to it & have it under control, but I have been feeling worse recently and the weight issue (as well as other things) led me to believe that my condition may have worsened. I am pleased I have gotten it checked out, as I said, I shall know more by the end of the week.

In your eyes I may not look "overweight" from that picture, but I DO have weight to lose, just because I am not a size 30 doesnt mean that I have to be or am happy about my weight & wouldnt like to lose it. If I could lose weight like a "normal" person it wouldnt be such a focus, but because I cant it means that it is all I can think about and obsess over. Yep I am still in Oz (I havent seen a snake or spider in the 9 months I've been here!!) - not sure if it is a dieters dream, I think it is an urban myth that everyone here is skinny & super fit - the same food as at home, and when you are actually "travelling" around it is so hard to eat healthily - living in hostels and out of a backpack makes it very difficult.

When you say gym work? I do go to the gym (5 ish times a week) but dont work in a gym... That is my problem, it ISNT coming off, that is my whole point - I am choosing low fat foods AND exercising, more than your average person, and it isnt working. That is exactly why I am so frustrated!! I cant expect you to understand if you dont have the same condition. But it illustrates my point that people think I should still be able to lose weight, but right now I cant. I lost a bit of weight by exercising & eating healthily a few years ago, doing exactly the same thing now, but now I do it and, nada!!. So it seems I was right in thinking things have gotten worse.. Sorry this has turned into a rant..

But looking forward. I should know at the end of the week where I stand and then hopefully be able to take some steps to fix it. I am quite excited at the prospect of changing my medication and feeling better, not just for the weight loss (although will be a bonus!!), but will help with the depression, fatigue, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!!

Things could be worse though - so I am grateful for that.

Have a good day everyone. xx

Hello!! How are you? Let me know how your appt goes, will keep everything crossed for you. Mine isnt until Sat, but I figured thats not too long to wait - if I was in the UK and seeing a specialist I'd probably be waiting years!

Sydney is good today, coming up to 5pm so time for me to finish work and head home, had a cracking headache all day so a quiet night for me...

Good luck with your appt & well done on the 1lb loss xx

Know it doesent seem much but I seem to be going backwards.
Have maintained the last couple of weeks as well.Sigh.

    Hi beanie:hello:
Sorry to see that things aren't going too well at the moment :grouphug: Is it anything specific or just one of those pesky things? After a while it can drag a bit so let's hope that this is just a temporary blip and that it'll soon come right for you. How long is it now until you're a bridesmaid?

Doing at least 10000 steps a day and sticking to less then 1300 cals a day its the thyroid and steroid treatment that I will be on for life thats the main problem but today I just want to go and reach for a large bar of chocolate.

Im sure I will feel better later (I hope)

    Morning All

Firstly many thanks for my Birthday regards :) tried to hide it in my weight loss message, didnt expect such a response. Will I get the same response for Big Birthday next year?

Didn't do much, Mrs Suggs took me to Nando's last night, then told me off for paying, I cant help it, I try to be a gentleman :)

Saw the Dietictian yesterday, she is very happy with my progress, she also bought her posh scales that do all these measurements. In short I actually have big bones! I have the myth, according the scales. :) The scales say a large person should have 3.5 kg of bone, I have 4.35kg :) seriouslay though some of the other measurements were 34% body fat, 19 abdominal metobolic rate 2584, I didnt note all the measures down, but I had the muscle density of a person 3 stone lighter than me! I wasnt sure about that one. But it will be a compare and contrast against my next visit at the end of June. Target wise, we are looking at 24lb by the time I go on holiday 12th August though the target isnt fixed just yet. :)

Off out tonight having dinner with the Luton Football Team :) Should be a good night, then Friday morning off to Weymouth! Guess Day 1 will start on Tuesday May 8th then!

Hope all ok. I will try to pop back later for a proper chat
