I'd somehow thought i would have some time at home to get everything done, of course not realising that i was watching my nephew today, or going out to school tomorrow. or that DH was away working and i would be alone for 2 days, although that proved a time for me to do some much needed beautification. :rotfl:

    Good morning,

Becca ((HUGS)) sorry to hear about your cat xx

Nicki - glad your back is feeling better, hope DD calms down for you later!!!

Well, ive done not a lot so far, apart from put DDs bedding in the wash. Had hoped to get it outside to dry, but as soon as i put the WM on, the lovely blue skies turned grey, and not only did we have rain, but hail as well!!! It has actually started to clear up now, so fingers crossed it will stay dry now so i an get all the washing out.
I now have about 40 mins free before i need to collect LO from nursery, so do i stay on MSE having a browse, or should i go and do some cleaning?? Decisions decisions!!!!

Have a lovely day eveyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I hope the day gets better for you Becca, hope your mum's operation goes well. And sad about your cat :(

Two loads of washing done, hung round indoors. Rained in the night, sunny this morning but big clouds starting to form now.

Made stew for dinner, just got to make dumplings later when I reheat it.

I did the bathroom on Monday and my computer desk with the hall - 'cos that's where it is!

Planning to do the fishtank later. We've got one fish left. We're waiting for him to die. I know that sounds horrid but we want to get rid of the tank. It's not like I'm murdering him........just keep checking the tank semi-hopefully.

Oh, I do feel nasty now but fish just aren't cuddly.
  • Oh Becca - my heart goes out to you....
    see you next week

    (((Becca))) & (((mumoftwo))) as well.

DD still wasn't calm when she got to school! Mind you I had a go at her this morning when she finally came down from getting dressed...she had black marks all over her white blouse that she wore yesterday and was supposed to wear today. The last thing I say to her before she comes down after getting changed is "Put ANYTHING dirty in the wash" I did check the unifrom before I went to bed but at that time of night and in a darkened room I didn't notice the marks  I just had enough of her this morning. Joy of joys she finished at 1.30pm tomorrow for 2 whole weeks  Thankfully she's going to IL's next Thursday (which just happens to coincide with her birthday AND Easter weekend  ) and apparently wants to stay until Easter Monday but we'll see.

Anyways I spent half-an-hour on the computer messing around when I first got home. Then an hour doing jobs, put the washing out on the line (grey clouds or not it's windy enough to dry the stuff!) and put another load in. I'm just taking some time out to have a hot drink & a snack then I'll get on with wet dusting the livingroom. I started using the feather duster but there was so much dust floating about I decided to scrap that idea :o No, my house isn't dusty, it's just we have laminate so there's more dust than you would usually expect, plus I've had the windows open alot since we've had nice weather

Oh well. My list looks something like this now :
    • Dailies
      • [STRIKE]Beds[/STRIKE]
      • [STRIKE]Bathroom S&S[/STRIKE]
      • Dishes
      • Kitchen S&S
      • Uniform
      • Packed Lunch - Already in fridge, this just reminds me to check there is one :rotfl:
      • Evening meal - I'm already thinking bolognese in the slow cooker ;) I don't exactly Menuplan :rotfl:
      • Post - praying my new book arrives
      • Hotspot - EBAY PILE
    • Livingroom
      • Dust - with feather duster
      • Hoover around the furniture - include kitchen.
      • [STRIKE]Tidy[/STRIKE]
    • Stairs (incl. hall & landing)
      • Hoover or sweep...will see how my back is.
      • Dust & wipe banister rail.
    • Bedrooms - both!
      • Hoover (sorry...not under the bed this time. I did that Monday)
      • Dust with feather duster
      • Wipe windows over.
    • [STRIKE]Tidy Airing cupboard.[/STRIKE]
I've also added 3 wash loads to my list, No. 1 is already out on the line :D Right, off to make my cuppa and grab an apple then I'll get on with the dusting ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Hello everyone! Not been posting here for a while, but have been Flying. Real life has been getting in the way, and I've been mega busy in the garden. I have the best part of 3 weeks of w*** so thought I'd come back here and post some more.

Small penguins break up tomorrow, so we're making 2 lists (on flip-chart paper in the kitchen); one of what *needs* doing and one of what they'd *like* doing. We aim to do at least one a day from each list.

Becca, hope your day gets better.

    Is TNG around anywhere?

Michelle - last time I was here yoiu had an interview - how did it go?

Nikki - how old is DD - sounds like you have your hands full.

    Today I have done:

    Ring mother - done
Transfer from saving account - done
BM – white loaf o/n, granary in now
    Bank account – closed
    Bin – out
    Window cleaner – paid
School shirts – washed and drying on the line
    Papers - paid
    Order prescription – done

    Penny. x
