    Hi all

After a weekend of fun at Butlins I am back on board. Today I have done in-depth clean of kitchen and bathroom. S & S lounge.

Yesterday I got all washing done and ironed (still upstairs waiting to be put away but - shhhh).

Roast for tea so will be doing prep of veg etc later. DD2 having a nap and due to wake at anytime.

Bedrooms will be tackled tomorrow I think - will do all upstairs and lounge!

Right best go before battery goes caput on laptop.

    Afternoon everyone

Shirley Park- hope your throat is better today and you're feeling brighter.
Nicki- did you manage to take things easy and rest your back?

As for me, nothing from today's list done as yet.
Got home from work half an hour ago and have washed up and made a cup of tea and caught up with emails.
Will crack on with the list when DH goes out tonight and DS is in bed.

My lounge is looking very tidy from yesterday, nice popping my head round the door and seeing it looking spick and span.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Just came on to waste some more time and see how low in the chair I can get (can't lay on the floor when DD is home.. I'll get stood on! :rotfl: ).

I'm a happy bunny as I've just got an email saying my Anthea Turner "How to be the perfect housewife" book has been dispatched by Amazon:j:j I feel like a 4 year old feels at Christmas, I'm all jumping-for-joy-and-grinning-madly :D:j:D:j:D :rotfl: Is this a sure sign I need to get a life?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyways I've managed to get a few small jobs done today.
    • Dishes x 2 done
    • Shop for milk & cordial done - I even walked to Aldi instead of "popping" into the Co-op, okay so I ended up buying a bottle of cola, a new battery for the smoke alarm (£1.49 instead of a Smartprice one from Asda, can't remember when I last replaced it you see...it was on one of the time-change days but I can't remember which one:o) and a 3 pack of PINK rubber gloves (can only get them in yellow usually around here... and I'm sick of getting mine mixed up with OH's who wears Large, whereas I'm only a medium :rotfl:) and brought it all home in my rucksack which nearly crippled my back but that was solved by laying on the floor.
    • WM x 1 of clothing done and put out.
    • Kitchen tidied & then S&S worktops.
    • Mail delt with.
    • Yesterday dry washing from the line folded and sorted into iron/non-iron after OH just dumped it all in the basket  That will take some ironing!
I'm going to get OH to change the battery in the smoke alarm when he gets in as I don't want to be stretching. Also going to get him to make tea. I'm shattered again :(

My back is feeling much better this afternoon. I don't want to over do it though so I'm going for a minimal effort list for the rest of the week. So tomorrows plan is, in theory,
    • Dailies
      • Beds
      • Bathroom S&S
      • Dishes
      • Kitchen S&S
      • Uniform
      • Packed Lunch - Already in fridge, this just reminds me to check there is one :rotfl:
      • Evening meal - I'm already thinking bolognese in the slow cooker ;) I don't exactly Menuplan :rotfl:
      • Post - praying my new book arrives
      • Hotspot - EBAY PILE
    • Livingroom
      • Dust - with feather duster
      • Hoover around the furniture - include kitchen.
      • Tidy
    • Stairs (incl. hall & landing)
      • Hoover or sweep...will see how my back is.
      • Dust & wipe banister rail.
    • Bedrooms - both!
      • Hoover (sorry...not under the bed this time. I did that Monday)
      • Dust with feather duster
      • Wipe windows over.
    • Tidy Airing cupboard.
Now I know that it looks/sounds alot but remember I live in a small house which is fairly neat & tidy. I will take my time though. ;)

Right, off to have a mooch around OS, and then I think I might set up some payments to the credit card as they've "run out" (I can only do something like 3 months at a time with my on-line banking) and update my spreadsheet.

    Bye for now

This is only my third day and I missed yesterdays completely as spent whole day in town waiting for car to be ready after taking it in for the key to be sorted. When I eventually rang them to ask if it was ready they said yes it has been since you dropped it in and there is nothing wrong with the key. I went straight back to car and guess what? The key still didn't work. They kept using the spare!!   A whole day wasted. I don't usually get annoyed but it was DD last day at home as off to work abroad today. So no flying yesterday as party again last night to see her off. Airport this am and a lounge flying pm. I know its the wrong day but it is really needed it after last night' do. Hope to be pack on track tomorrow. DS1 at home to do heavy things too.

i've done nothing in the way of flying today, hospital with friend took hours and then she needed some company so we shopped a bit (didn't buy anythig though, apart form a cup of coffee :))

just going out to work, probably til about 10, might try and do the lounge then but more likely i'll do that and the bedroom tomorrow. can't remember whether i changed sheets last week, i'll have to look on my list (i am doing them every 2 weeks as i'm away regularly)

nicki - look after the abck, you only get one!

i'm feeling proud of myself as i've hardly spent anything on food this month, and not a penny in supermarkets :) trip to the butcher planned tomorrow to get stuff for cooked breakfast before wedding on sat.

have a good evening all, i might need a kick sometime soon!!

You guys :D You sure make me feel better. Had a lovely day with my boy, and had long conversations with my parents about the interview. I still feel stressed just thinking about it.

My plan is to go back to work between 3 and 4 days a week as planned. (can't not go back really as i have signed to say i would pay back part of the maternity leave pay if i did that.) I'm over a barrel a bit, as i still have my management money from before that they can't take off me until september 08 or 09 (need to double check that) so i will have to be responsible for whatever they ask me to. however, once i have been a bridesmaid for my sister in june, there is going to be nothing to stop me trying for the next baby.

then, if i am not happy, i will take another maternity leave without the extra pay and plan to not go back, which wouldn't look too bad on my CV.

can't be faffed arguing about the interview as the union rep is about to retire, and they would cover their backs anyway as there was a bit about organisation in one of the official questions, and then my question wouldn't be documented.

I just keep thinking why do i even care. I don't even know whether iwant to do the job at all anymore. I have felt really depressed again all day, and life is far too short to be like that.

    Anyways, enough of the rambling....

rach that was lovely that you went with your friend for that. Couldn't have been easy.

ladygrim got any more jokes - could do with a bit of a laugh as no DH tonight to whinge at. Might have to talk to the cat.

nicki hope the back is feeling a bit better after resting it.

Think i will have a quick wash up/tidy up/do baby bottles etc. and then get a bath and use the epilator on my legs ready for being a bridesmaid on Saturday. ~I could also stick on a face mask, and then chill out in front of desperate housewives. ;) Might even have a browse and see what jobs are around that i might be interested in should i quit so that i have a plan b.

Love and hugs to you all,
    Michelle, x

    Eveving everyone

Tomorrows list now up, sorry been chaos here lately, but :D car passed MOT today, pleased we save the money by doing the work ourselves but boy does it take some doing.

Spent this evening helping the boys decorate eggs for school, there is paint everywhere. Being naughty and left it all out as more to do tomorrow on them.

Michelle, sorry to hear about the job, something will come up soon, never take it personally.

Nicki, hope the backs better soon, pleased you're not overdoing it :)

    Thursday
Study/PC areas (don't have one), bathroom and spare rooms (I wish!!)

    Bathroom
    1. Clean bath, sink and toilet thoroughly
    2. Clean any tiles
    3. [STRIKE]Dust top of any cabinets/storage[/STRIKE] None of those, it leaped off the window sill and smashed itself yesterday
    4. [STRIKE]Clean bath and toilet mats[/STRIKE] Don't have these either
    5. Vacuum/Sweep and mop floor
    6. If you have a shower wipe down, make sure head is clean and screen/curtain is too

Extra for today - if the spare room has become a dumping ground take 10 minutes to clear some of the clutter in there. If it has to stay in there make sure it's tidy!

I do have a seperate loo though which I'll also need to de-grot.

And all the things I didn't get done Wednesday because I am lazy!!

I have run out of washing to do!!!:!!
So a couple of bits to fold and put away and I am ready for the uniforms to be flung in tonight.. Easter hollies start today here! *moan*

    DW
    BM
    Then battle that manky landing!!!
Whizz through front room and kitchen
Sort ebay stuff and charity shop anything that has been listed more than twice and still not sold!
