michelle - sounds a bit dodgy to me. my understanding is that they should ask all candidates the same questions in an interview to make sure it is completely unbiased. there should be clear records of the interview scoring for each question / criteria too. i know this because i've been involved in setting up a new post at work. i would be speaking to the union rep just to be sure. sounds to me like you are being discriminated against because you have a child and would be a working mother.
well i got sod all flying done today, have clocked up 13 hours on my timesheet! i'm in bed now with laptop on knee, ready to sleep soon! taking it easier tomorrow, though taking friend for scan tomorrow first thing to see if she needs D&C after miscarriage, could be quite heavy emotionally.
have decided i will shift the days around a bit, will do today's list tomorrow and tomorrow's on thurs. then i'll only have the study which i can do friday.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Morning all :hello:
Yet again today my back is hurting  I'm under orders from OH and DD to rest it :rotfl: So... I'm going to have a mooch around the 'net, put some washing in and then I'm going to go lay on the floor for 15 minutes or so and read my book as that really helped last nightThe rest of todays plans revolve around me sitting at the computer or laying on the floor though so any jobs will have to roll over...which is a good thing really as I want OH to help me give the place a blast clean this weekend before his family come down/DD's birthday on Thursday (then Wednesday's clean will just be a "touch up"
and will allow me to get on with planning/sorting out DD's buffet for her birthday).
So today :- Beds - airing. Not attempting to make them as it hurts to lift anything with my left arm ATM
- Bathroom - presentable, okay so there is a ring around the bath thanks to OH, but I'm not expecting visitors!
- Kitchen
- Dishes
- S&S worktops only
- Rest of house - tidy up as I wander around.
- Packed lunch - made and in the fridge
- Uniform - DD's job but will check before she goes to bed.
- Evening meal - Beans on toast or omlette, both of which OH is capable of making!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I've just realised what being such a lazy mare has cost me....
for the first time ever, all the boys clothes (apart from one load on the line and what they are wearing right now!) are washed, ironed, aired and - there isn't enough space in their drawers to put tham all away! I must have twice as many jeans/t-shirts/vests, etc as I need....Is it home time yet?0 -
Morning all
I'm out of step with the jobs but at least I'm doing stuff (go on tell me it's OK!)
Today I've done a load of washing. Hanging out in the fog......the weatherman assures me the sun will be out later.
Made (more) Easter biscuits
Washed up and cleared round kitchen surfaces after baking.
Thorough clean of living room, including ornaments etc taken off the shelf and cleaned properly. Vacuumed right through downstairs and up the stairs.
And I got down the side of the computer desk and cleaned the skirting board and wall that's really difficult to get to. At least, it is with my back and knees.

Afternoon everyone!!laying on the floor though so any jobs will have to roll over...
Nicki Hope your back is feeling better soon - I read this snippet and thought you were rolling around the floor doing your jobs - had to go back and read it again!cha97michelle wrote: »Didn't get the job - i'm quite peeved off actually.
Michelle I'm so sorry.Quite annoyed on your behalf! - I had a bit of a fight on my hands when I went back to work. Mine did resolve itself after alot of pushing from me. Pigpen is right though if you don't need to work don't and even if you do see if you can do less hours. I job-share now and although I would love to be at home with my little ones all the time financially it doesn't work. Also I had severe post-natal depression which was helped when I went back to work so I suppose I'm in the best postion for me atm. Hope it all works out for you.
I know the idea is not to play catch up but I've got the outlaws arriving Friday so I'm being a bit demented this week...........

Ds (2.5yrs) has just helped me make Cowboy Casserole and is now dozing on the sofa though he claims he doesn't need a nap. Think I'll stop for a cuppa and a custard cream if there's any left.......catch you all later.xx"all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0
