    afternoon everyone

haven't managed to get in since thursday, as i have been super busy. Now i'm back after going to my friends wedding. We only got back at about mid-day, and i haven't stopped.
    • car unpacked, and reloaded with DH's tools for work
    • remembered to get cheque book from DH before he left.
    • cleaned sink, which DH didn't rinse on Friday when he washed up before we went (full of fat)
    • put washed dishes away
    • baby bottles washed/sterilised/remade
    • compost out in bin
    • found a vase to put my bouquet in
    • post from Saturday dealt with
    • emails checked
    • transmitted shop and scan bar-codes
    • baby fed, and changed several times
    • and i am about to get on with unpacking.
All this and i am feeling a little bit delicate from being a little bit merry. I think it was the last glass of wine that did it, plus the two cooked breakfasts and very rich meal served at the reception that may have done it. I had a blinbking good time though, and Charlie behaved very well. It was nice to put him to bed, and then feel like we were having a night out, as the hotel was so small all the guests were part of the wedding party. He enjoyed sleeping, and i had a bit of a boogie.

plan for the rest of the day mainly is:
    • Pick cats up from cattery
    • put cat boxes in garage
    • put cat vaccination certificates and cheque book away
    • [STRIKE]Unpack[/STRIKE]
    • Put travel bags away
    • Put travel cot/mattress away
    • [STRIKE]One load through WM (baby clothes[/STRIKE]) plus perhaps i'll also do a load of bibs before i run out of clean ones
    • Empty airers
    • Do a pre-MOT check on car
    • Hoover downstairs
    • bath baby, get ready for bed
    • plus anything else that i think of, like cook dinner (got salmon out to have something healthy) [STRIKE]changed babys cot bedding, emptied bathroom and kitchen bin, got cat litter tray ready for them,[/STRIKE]Will have to have a bit of a think of a present to get my friends mum, as she has just paid for our hotel room for 2 nights (£160) and she wouldn't take no for an answer. How kind of her. We really didn't expect that as although money is tight while i am not at work, it was a budgetted expense, so i do have extra cash now. (although, i suppose £70 was already spent on getting baby a suit to go.)

    Good afternoon,

Just popped in from the backgarden for a drink and the computer was already on so thought I'd come to say hello

Our mother is doing a bit better, although she threw up because she was in so much pain. The doctor finally took notice and now she gets 4 painkiller injections a day as well as oral painkillers. she managed to stand today for 1 second. I phone her twice a day, dread the phone bill, phoning from Scotland, going through an Amsterdam exchange to be put through to my mothers phone next to her hospital bed in The Hague.. ach well, hopefully cheaper than a flight over..

today I have hoovered, tidied the garage, cut the grass, tidied the garden, done grocery shopping and managed to sit outside for half an hour. It is lovely and sunny here at the moment, wish I had stripped the beds..
Enjoy your Sunday everyone... will come back on later to see what tomorrows list is.. Really have to work hard this week as Becca is coming next Monday..

Wow Michelle, you are on a roll... Glad you enjoyed the wedding, no rest for the wicked, right back into the housework:grin:

I have just done 5th load of washing today. So much for weekends off. DS2, aged 18, has caught tummy bug , and was so ill during the night. DS3 moved onto sofa whilst we tried to sort out some semblance of order. Maybe they will pick up their clothes off the floor in future when they go to bed!! Found info about bicarb which is brilliant and has got rid of all smells. We are so lucky we have a sunny windy day up here in the hills, washing is drying in no time.
I need to find somewhere that sells Stardrops, it sounds magic. Does anyone know if it is safe for septic tanks?

Now who can I find to make Sunday dinner? Don't relly feel like any myself.

    Evening all :hello:

Looking forward to the new thread.

I feel I've gone backwards today as I'm becoming a mess again.. oops

I've started to Fly the garden today but am regretting it now as I think I've done more harm than good with my SPD. Ooops....

Ah well... I'm going to nip upstairs and put away the mountain of clothes I've been washing this weekend and get more down to put on. Sunday dinners in ut tummies already and I've just got to empty the DW later and repack (plus scrub the baked on dishes).

DS is staying at nannies tonight as she has him for me on Mondays. I'l lstrip his bed while I'm up there so that it can air tonight and all tomorrow.

Then time for a loooonnngggg soak me thinks

We did manage one trip to the tip this morning and the work we've done out there today means another tomorrow morning.
Trouble is this meant taking all the stuff from out of the back of the car and it just got dumped in the middle of the dining room floor so that looked dreadful!
Have now sorted it into a tidy pile and put in the corner of the room ready to go back in tomorrow. Also used an old wicker laundry basket to put all DS's footballs/racket games in that we keep in the back of the car for trips to the park, so now that should look better than all the various carrier bags they were in.

Also managed to get one coat of the wood preserver on the fence panels and DH cut the lawn so it's starting to look a bit better out there.

Am really looking forward to starting my second flylady week tomorrow, is that very sad?!

Hope everyone has had an enjoyable weekend.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

    Clothes away

Even MORE washing on (do the neighbours keep sneaking thier washing in or something...? I'm sure we never had this many clothes!!

Cleaned under DS's bed. Scary stuff

Clothes put away, round two to be done when I go to bed (i.e. the stuff I'm washing now and will do after this load)

    Hope to do...

    [STRIKE]Empty and refill DW
    Sweep downstairs[/STRIKE]
    Sweep DS's room again
    [STRIKE]Wipe down kitchen (I've prepared tomorrow's dinner and made a mess :o )
    Wash dishes from roast today[/STRIKE]

Edit: Okay, I give in. I'm pooped, and want to quit now to have a saok and for once, a night infront of the Telly induling in maybe UKTV Food or Gardens with an alcohol free cobra beer.

feeling quite poopered now. I haven't even got round to making dinner yet, but as DH is still at work, i still have time for a sit down. Baby is now in bed, after falling asleep on my knee. The routine has gone out the window a bit today.

I think i have done about as much as i can. I do know that i will have to empty the airer, and hang up the load of washing i did.

mumoftwo glad to hear your mum is doing a little better and not in as much pain. Sounds like it may be a long process for her, but easier if they are controlling her pain.

Don't think i will get back in tonight, so i will see all of you in the new thread tomorrow, and i will be really ready for it. Didn't really get much done this week cleaning wise, although did deal with a lot of personal things. Must do better.

Pleased to hear your Mum is getting better, might be worth investing in one of those cheaper suppliers for international calls just for now. Also pleased the doctors are taking more notice, hopefully she will be better now.

    New list is now up
