Lil_me, my philosophy exactly. I'm a bit older and have done the whole drinking thing. I can't believe how much my friends are prepared to pay on what boils down to nothing!
Its not old before our time, mature head doesn't equal dull!
Kitchen and living room done. Feet up with my cocoa.. (Not really)

    Evening everyone!

The outlaws arrived at lunchtime and I didn't feel like I'd been running around all morning making everything sparkly clean. It already was thanks to you lot! :T

I used to hate ironing too, and it's not that I love it now or anything, but now I make myself a cup of tea and either choose a radio programme I really like and iron to that, or a podcast I've been saving up! Then I don't really think about the ironing!! ;)

Thanks for all your kind thoughts and wishes for our mother. Becca drove over to see her today, got stuck in a massive traffice jam, but mum was so happy to see her. They tried to get her to stand up today(!) she only had her surgery (broken hip) yesterday afternoon, but she was in so much pain, she couldn't manage it. It' s at times like this I feel the distance, being in Scotland and her in the Netherlands. but at least Becca got to see her today.

Needless to say, didn't get much flying done yesterday, trying to phone the hospital in Holland, trying to speak to mum herself etc. Today was my 17th wedding anniversary so didn't do much today either, we had a lovely lunch out, DD2 had easter service at school this morning. The rug is covered in dog hair, the dishes are still on the worktop, there is dust everywhere and the kids are off for a fortnight, Yippee!! I do love having my girls home, as long as they don't bicker. I managed to put a wash on but it is still in the machine, hopefully the weather will be good tomorrow so I can hang it out.
Hopefully I can do better next week before Becca comes the week after, I need to show her I am a flylady!!:D

Its not really that bad, just untidy really.. won't take long to put right..
Have a nice weekend everyone and again thanks for all your kind messages..

    Evening all...

I've felt pretty good this week flying. Okay, some things I've cheated a wee bit on, but as a whole things are looking pretty good. I realise the more weeks I fly for the more and more things will get, and stay, better.

Was going to have an evening off as I felt pretty rough (not bad going for the first rough day so far in 19 weeks of pregancy) I was ordered to put my feet up for the evening by DH, who's currently doing a good enough job for me and snoring in the living room to prove it :rotfl:

I'm feeling tonnes better right now so think I'll have myself a little fly blitz. I don't mind pooping myself out so much tonight either as at least I don't have to get up for work tomorrow :T :T

OOoooooo and I've just realised next weekend in the start of the long bank holiday weekend, plus I have Wednesday off for my 20 week scan so it's only a 3 day week. Yyyeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

  • Oh I ache......
My timings from my test run with a basket load of our things didn't come close to the real thing - but this was my first go, and I wanted everything to be perfect... still, only another 20 mins to go (2 city shirts, and then the rest casual adult clothes) - 8 shirts done tonight and all the childrens' clothes: the rest can wait until tomorrow morning.
Why was there nothing after 8pm on the telly tonight?
DH is a cheeky monkey - but I love him - and he really did mean it as a compliment! And even better, he has gone out for 'a' pre-lambing beer tonight - and even though I haven't touched a drop since Nov 2005 I still get a real kick out of witnessing a hangover, knowing I will never suffer that way again.
Well done lil-me - I wish I had seen the light when I was 28 - unfortunately 28-36 is pretty much of a blur. Still - all is crystal clear now!
Right, long hot soak, book and gird myself for tomorrow!
    Is it home time yet?

    Morning all (just)

Pleased to hear Esther and Beccas Mum is doing well, must be hard being so far away for you, I am sure she'll be standing in no time, but that does seem a little soon to me, I remember it being weeks before my Great Grandma was on her feet after a similar problem.

Well so far hols are going ok, kids are fed and actually not fighting, I did the smart thing and bought them BOTH a Pokemon annual each yesterday (were only 49p) and they are going through them together instead of fighting over one. DS1 actually helping DS2 with his spelling and reading which is great to hear. He is of course sounding a little bossy!

4th washer load in inc some sheets and curtains which needed doing, just hope weather stays ok to get them dry outside. Got about another 2 loads to do (guess what I have been slacking on this week) Kids PE kits etc all to do aswell, then going to be 'scarily' organised and pack them back up when dry ready for going back to school :D Dogs are shedding hair a lot at the minute and I have a slight obsession :o with dog hair so constantly sweeping (can't vacuum when DS1 is in so thank heavens for hard floors) washing ups done, need to put some of the piles of laundry away after the mammoth washing task and do some  ironing. Going to do myself a list in a mo....or I'll forget something

DP needs waking at 12.30pm as was working until late last night then is going to work at 1.30pm again so have made his sandwiches etc for work, will make his lunch when he gets up. Stop him having the temptation of the bakery etc on the rank he works on, or pizza later.

Right going to have a nosey around the internet before I get cracking, hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
One day I might be more organised...........

So glad I forced myself to do all the bedding and upstairs on Thursday, plus all those extra jobs I did yesterday too. We have a viewing today (did not find out about it until late yest) so all i had to do was make the beds, repolish tiles in bathroom after showers and leave instructions for DH to hoover downstairs before they come (and after kids have had lunch) :j . WM was on and washing pegged out before I left for work. Stuck here until 4pm today!

Pizza for tea so DH instructed to put BM on later, it does have a timer but did not want it cluttering up the worktop with the viewers coming. I am trusting him to add the ingredients so am hoping he manages to read the instructions (you know what men and instruction leaflets are like  ).

Ironing is up to date (DH did kids stuff and all I had to do was 1 shirt and a tshirt of mine - DH even ironed one of his work shirts, did a good job too so am guessing he has been pulling the wool over my eyes regarding his lack of ironing skills for the last 13 years! So will get my own back now and he has to do his own from this point forward:p

Right off to do some more [STRIKE]surfing the net[/STRIKE] work :D

    Happy weekends everyone!
