I am looking forward to trying again next week. I do think I have managed to achieve some cleaner rooms. Just wish I didn't have so many. Rooms not family! have spent all day today sorting paperwork and trying to find out why computer network is'nt working. That was my other excuse, the internet went down and I had to guess what the jobs were.

Pooh.. my other level of reasoning is.. however messy it gets you know without any uncertainty that noone is going to steal it.. so if it doesn't get done it will be there another day lol.. Probably why I do so little actually .

Evening all. Well done everyone, I am sure those who think they have done very little have done a lot this week. Such a thankless task this housewokr lark and when the kids are off (2 weeks and 2 days plus weekend starts here today) it all can sometimes seem pointless, but I know after last time just doing the list each day my house didn't look as much of a bombsite when the boys went back to school.

Well a not very good flying day for me, had 3 hours spare this afternoon so went shopping :o which I haven't done without kids or someone else in tow for ages, was much more enjoyable. Shopped around finding some bargains, also found some Starpine which is Stardrops version of disinfectant as DS1 has veruccas (ewww) so need to clean bath properly every time he's been in. Home Bargains of all places now do all three Stardrops, Starclen (the strong stuff) and Starpine, I was in cleaning heaven! Got some other housey and cleaning things, like storage something I was in desperate need for so I can get things more organised.

Anyway, the list, well I vacuumed the boys room, did the beds, had a very quick tidy (the entire room needs an overhaul over the hols) and vacuumed. I was going to Vax the beds today but when I have collected it from my sisters she's broken it, grrrrr, so needs a new part before I can. Their laundry is waiting to be sorted into the new storage which I intend to do over weekend as DP is away again.

Dogs been out and fed, going to sort out what I need to get done over the weekend. Probably be a lot as have spent more time helping out at school than anything else this week. Inc today taking unsold items to the charity shop from school fayre etc. But we did make over £300 at the school fayre so I am very pleased :D makes the hard work worth it.
One day I might be more organised...........

Well, my first week of flying and I got about halfway! I have a fairly clean kitchen (did the floor at 10pm one night!) and a dusted, sorted and hoovered living room and dining room, then caught a stomach bug so haven't done anything for the last 3 days!

BUT, this seems a much more sensible way of tackling things. I even got the dining room done in 20 mins whilst my tea (made the night before!) was in the oven on Tuesday, after work and before going to Guides. I would never have thought it possible to fit anything into that time before!

So now I have a free weekend! Previously I would have spent the whole week putting off cleaning the bathroom, and not done anything else because I'd have wanted to do the bathroom first, and in the end nothing would get done! Now I know it'll come round again next week so I just move onto the next thing!

Well done Daisies. Sorry to hear you've been unwell but well done with doing what you have and getting the weekend free, enjoy it, you deserve it! Half way there isn't bad for a new starter (we were all new starters once and don't think I got 1/10th the way there for at least 4 weeks :o)

Isn't it amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it :D Must admit my house is still in need of work, but so much better than it was before.

Pigpen forgot to mention before, well done on the new totals :D

    Good evening,

Well, the day started well, but i seem to have come to a stop this afternoon. Dont think ive done any of what i had planned to - apart from pick children up from school and feed them!!! And ive just sat here and eaten half a tub of Haagen Dazs Pralines and Cream ice cream (but it was SOOO GOOD!!!) do feel sick now, but its all gone, so cant eat it again, and maybe i will feel better if i whip the hoover around (its exercise i suppose!!!).
Going to put the DW on i think, and will continue to think about doing that hoovering!!

You can't do the hoovering too soon after eating Catowen, not good to exercise straight away, maybe leave it until tomorrow :rotfl: I shouldn't be encouraging skiving off really should I, but I am doing the same myself. Oh and pleased to hear the icecream was nice, made me jealous as we have no icecream left :( I know there is a BIG pile of stuff needs sorting in kitchen, things to go upstairs etc but since DP went to work after me dashing about sorting his stuff out etc I can't be bothered to move :rotfl: :o

I suppose seeing as I've dragged the laptop out onto the dining table I could sort some of the paperwork etc I got out to sort on there without moving too much :o

Kids have been fed but haven't fed myself yet, can't be bothered even if it only needs reheating that means moving!

This week I have been mostly... not flying and not posting. My mamoth blitz last Saturday has meant that when I got home this evening to an absolute tip I've been able to do a 15 minute timed fly in each of my bedroom, the bathroom, the hall AND the room I dare not enter (spare bedroom/dumping ground). You probably don't want to hear it but since I'm in a sharing mood, I found dead creatures partially eaten by the cat. Not nice. Hope no-ones eating..
Going to do the same in the living room and kitchen. I'm sure I should be out partying on a Friday night, my mother thinks I'm a bit square 'cos I'd rather rearrange my pantry than be out on the pull!
Have a relaxing evening those that have flown all week!

:rotfl: Cheeky DH you have there, give him a swift kick from me :D Good luck with the ironing by the way, if I lived closer would have got you to do mine, I hate it, worries me that people actually like that sort of torture (which is what it is to me) takes me all my time to motivate myself to do mine, feel sick at the thought of it!

Solwaykid my friends and family did make comments like that at first, but the choice was sort of taken away from me. DP is a taxi driver (works 3 weekend nights Thursday-Saturday usually) and I have no babysitter so I stay home. I do end up doing hosuework things most Friday evenings, I'd rather be working out where I can save (which is where sorting store cupboard etc comes in) than spending, especially after being the other side of a bar/dj decks for many years and seeing the sorry states some get themselves into. Such a waste of money especially if they can't remember if they had a good time or not. Haven't drank for over 18 months now some say old before my time (I'm 28) but it's my life and at the minute I am happy. Sad to some but hey ho.
