    Good afternoon everyone

I've been on a jaunt all the way to the doctors to fetch a precription (an hour round trip walking) so got back about lunchtime and have made a good start................

Tuesday - Lovely living rooms, heavenly halls and SAFE stairs!

    Living room
    1. [STRIKE]Dust everything, get those ornamoents down, dust them, photo frames clocks etc too![/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]TV area - clean TV, cabinet, make sure you give the digi boxes/video/dvd players etc a wipe before putting them back[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]Clean the living room window, it's summer time so let that light through![/STRIKE]It's lovely here this afternoon so I've had the windows open and have been outside and cleaned the glass and the white UPVC frames as well.
    4. [STRIKE]Vacuum, oh you lot love this one, inc sofas, under furniture you can move safely etc and those skirting boards[/STRIKE]
    5. [STRIKE]If the sofa needs a wipe do so, check those cushions incase they need a wash[/STRIKE]
    6. [STRIKE]Move anything that shouldn't be where it is, like that book, or pile of paperwork/magazines[/STRIKE]
    7. [STRIKE]Water any plants[/STRIKE]

    Hall & Stairs
    1. [STRIKE]Cobwebs - can you see any, get them dusted off[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Clear the way, make sure your hall/staris are not a safety/fire hazard, make sure those coats and shoes are tidy[/STRIKE]
    3. Check fire/smoke alarms, make sure they work and if required change battery Littlie was sleeping so I'll wait to do this
    4. Vacuum throughout inc up the stairs, but take a cloth with you
    5. [STRIKE]Wipe hand rails on the way back down[/STRIKE]

One extra for the day - Make any important calls you've been putting off and do 15 minutes paperwork sorting. Oh and smile, it's not that bad especially now downstairs is finished (if your study/pc area is downstairs thats later in week)

Thanks lil_me I really feel as though I'm doing ok this week so far.
Had a phone call this morning from the outlaws and they're landing on friday for the weekend! Although it is a bit  it's not as bad as it was last year and I don't feel as though I don't want them here because of the effort involved in cleaning and tidying for their arrival.

I have finally completed the letter to the tax man. Now I just need to go through it with OH so he understands what I put  Then it needs to go with him to work to print out (we have run out of black ink AGAIN:mad: and it won't do to print it out in navy ink :rotfl: ) Then I think it can be posted Recordered or Special delivery  we'll see. Will be a shock for them I think to get a letter saying "we owe you money" even if it does say "but not the £776.69 you say we do!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Off to meet OH from his train soon. Will have to get something to eat now though as my tummy is rumbling.

Hopefully I'll be able to fly again tomorrow, but for now I'll say "night night" as I'm not going to be on the computer again (in theory) until tomorrow ;)

Well Done pigpen - knew you'd get the governor's job even if you do always put yourself down.

It is just it all comes down to a popularity conpetition..and I am NOT popular.. though it seems the staff liked the idea of me having the post. A lot of parents were put off the other woman because she wrote her 'biographical details' in third person.. whereas mine was very 'me' lol A lot were put off because she said she is in the TA's as well.. I do talk to people occasionally! lol

Anyway I don't care.. I am really pleased and I am more popular than her.. she did give me a look that would have turned me to stone though lol good job I am immune to Medusa stares! lol

Thank you for your confidence though.

they think my stepdad might have a blood clot in his lung now.. more waiting!!!

For a moment there I thought you had done that all this afternoon!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well I have signed up to freecycle at last and just wanted to scratch your collective brains.... am I right in thinking I just post an 'offered' ad with the details and thats it? Or do I have to post it in a certain place?

You should post your offered item in the title and most groups also like you to put where you are (roughly) so people can chose whether it is near enough to travel to. In the message you can give more details e.g. size or condition of item -if relevant. Hope that helps. You can PM me if you want to know more.

I HATE HATE HATE photographing ebay gibble.. HATE IT!!!!

It takes blooming ages and you know only half of it will sell... plus once you've done the pics you feel compelled to do the actual listings and they take FOREVER!!!

And why do they not do FREE listing days any more?? Tight @rses!!

    Dinner pots loaded in DW.

Been busy today, but didn't manage to get as much done as hoped due to stream of visitors, still, I can always stay up late tonight! I've got the living room to dust and polish still, though the rest of the place looks pretty good. Also need to finish meal plan for next week and do the Tesco order.

Planted some more seeds - blue and pink sweet peas to plant against the trellis.

Tomorrow will be tricky, as I'm going to be out most of the day seeing financial advisor and DD's ballet show, but a friend is looking after DS, so I'm REALLY going to fly with all my might in the few minutes in between.

Here I go, flap, flap, flap, we have lift off...

Thanks :) I decided to go for it last night, offered some of DD's old clothes and within an hour of it being listed I had 6 emails!!!!!! Now that is what I call quick off the mark. Arranged to get it picked up tomorrow.

Me too, plus I have spent most of the day going through my shop listings in turbo lister and on ebay adjusting the postage costs  it's the 3rd time i 12 months that RM have increased postal charges.

Hence no flying done at all here :(

  • Well the living room is my nemesis, for the last few weeks i have done fine until the living room came along (ahem yes i know its only tuesday) and then i just look at it and give up. I think its because the living room is just that - tv room, games room, playroom, study etc etc there just isnt enough room for everything. ANYWAY today i decided to set the magical timer and just do 15mins and i actually did it. In fact the hardest thing was actually stopping after 15mins!

Won't be doing much tomorrow unless i can get out of bed early as Wed night has now been designated "date night" - dinner without ds, film and popcorn. You never know i might get to talk to DOH instead of just seeing the back of his head while he plays world of bloomin warcraft!

  • I appear to have caught the BF's cold, (not happy), have done almost all of the lounge and just need to vacuum hall / stairs, but quite frankly that can wait until I feel better. Atleast everything is tidy even if it isn't perfectly clean.
