Didn't get the job - i'm quite peeved off actually. I interviewed well, and have 2 years management experience, but apparently i am really behind on current practice. What with having been off work for less than 6 months.

I feel like my face no longer fits because i don't say yes to everything anymore, and they think i will not be able to cope with organising my time when i go back. I was actually asked 2x how i would go about organising myself. I think they had basically made their decision before i went in but interviewed me anyway so i couldn't say i had been discriminated against.

I have a horrible knot in my stomach and a headache from the stress.

And the best bit - they liked the ideas i have, and want me to implement them anyway. I think i will be working a way out of going back for long. We want to extend the family anyway, so i might just do it sooner rather than later, and then not let them take the mickey any longer.

Anyway, totally spoiled my mood. Very little done

Michelle - sorry to hear about the job, ((HUGS)) xxx
  • Michelle to hell with them!!!!!! Employers are gits. Mine are so bad at communications at a local level that I just laugh now when they get it wrong. So long as the wages come in on time I don't care.

I didn't post yesterday but kitchen all shiny. DD cleared it up properly tonight again. This is her job to earn her pocket money but she was only half doing it. Told her yesterday if she doesnt start doing it to a decent standard then pocket money is stopping. Bad !!!!! that I am :p

Today I have polished and swept lounge. Tidied it all up also. swept and tidied hall and stairs. Hung out 3 loads of wash before going to work today and have done 2 loads tonight. Cooked dinner and sat on bum since about 8pm.Knackered now but lovely and clean downstairs. Hopefully I manage the whole week.

    xx

  • Michelle - so sorry to hear about the interview. I can't go back to what I used to do - it has taken me a long period of adjustment (and a little Prozac!) - but I honestly couldn't be happier.

Michelle... f**k them!! There are many more important jobs you could be doing and he is laid fast asleep and looking like an angel.. it is 'only' money.. you can't buy back the years you will miss as your baby grows up.. you could always get a little something else. I can't imagine how annoyed and disappointed you must be.. but I'd be speaking to the union anyway.. there might just be a clause to cover you against this!! They HAVE to offer you something at the end of your maternity leave and they CANNOT offer you anything lower paid or on a lower scale unless you ask for it. My sisters shop manager has just had the same problem and ended up going back as an insurance sales rather than branch manager because of company policy. It'll come right.. ((((hugs))))
