Do you have some sort of Barclays hotline???!?!?!?!

I've been trying to get through and am still getting the same "call back later" message.

i wish i did have a hotline, what i did was called customer services in the morning, gave them a life and death response until the put me throu to someone in the isa helpdesk, unless i was lucky that is.

the helpdesk opens at 8;30am each day, call early if you can, or call customer services

    Should we be getting statements?

I've had an account created, and £3k deposited either side of the tax year, but still no statement of any kind...

Not sure. Bradford and Bingley said they didn't sent statements - I had to request a balance statement letter, or do a print screen.

Fairly new to all of this, not sure what the norm is for ISA's.

Going to try calling Barclays again.. Wish me luck!

    Whoo Hoo! I'm on hold.

Isn't it a 5hit state of affairs when you feel you've succeeded just by getting into a hold queue!!

Well the adviser I've just spoken to was about as useful as tits on a fish. Actually, can I sue Barclays under the trade descriptions act for giving him the job title "Adviser"...that would imply "Advice", wouldn't it?

"I'm sorry, our ISA department have only just finished opening the envelopes for the last tax year, and have only just started opening the envelopes for the current tax year. If you try again next friday, youre account should be open by then"

Confidence. I'm full of it, honestly.

I am still waiting. I applied just after the start of the new tax year, and my cheque has not been cashed yet. I haven't been able to get through to their 'helpline'. There is a long thread about this on the ISAs sub-forum above.

if you look on the correct part of the site, the isa board, you will find that you are by means alone.
