  • Just received a notice today from Highview for Almondvale car park... we certainly did not think for a minute that the park we parked in was not a free park and didnt think to look at any notices about, if in fact there were any! I have receipts for shopping in the centre last month... should I contact the operations manager in Livi centre? DOnt want to pay, but dont want bad debt!!!!

When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

This is an ancient thread and should not be resurrected. Did you not read pogofish's post two above yours about not bumping this thread?

If this parking event is in Scotland then you can ignore it, provided you do not indicate who the driver was. This advice relates only to Scotland (and NI) NOT to England or Wales.

If the parking event was in E/W come back with a NEW THREAD of your own please. No more on this one please!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Have you heard any more? My mother got a fine and I think she will pay it even though I have told her not.

Please start your own thread - do not bump ancient ones!
  • I have also received a few letters from them. I have been in that car park countless times and never noticed any parking restriction notices. I was going to ignore them but I was told that I was probably best to get in touch with them which I did. Was that a mistake?

Yes. There is no registered keeper liability in Scotland.

And why didn't you pay heed to the post immediately above yours?

THIS IS AN OLD THREAD. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND HERE!!!!!!

Yes but not a major mistake.

You need to read the Newbies sticky in this forum, which will explain the current situation for Scotland. Then if you need more advice, start your own thread.
