Make sure you tell the head offices of these retailers that, no point otherwise of having a silent protest ;)

  • Tomba,

they can operate in Scotland, just with less implied authority than England and Wales thanks to the lack of POPLA.

I was caught overstaying my welcome at Almondvale on 20/10/2012and have had to date 6 letters, the last being on 14/2/2013, about 5 weeksago. Anybody out there had more than 6letters?

For anyone with less than 6 letters, here’s the ones I have received(and you can expect):-

    Charge Notice 30/10/2012 (£50)

    Charge Notice reminder 16/11/2012 (£75)

    Legal Action Pending 03/12/2012 (£115)

Debt Recovery Plus letter 25/01/2013 (£145.24)

Notice of Intended Litigation 04/02/2013 (£145.24)

    Reduced Payment Offer 14/02/2013 (£116.19)

The first 3 letters are from Highview Parking, the othersare from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd.

  • My mother got one of these parking tickets at Almondvale (in Scotland) back in November. Her car was parked there but she wasn't the driver. Is she obliged to tell Highview who the driver was? And can Highview pursue her as the registered keeper if she refuses? She's so fed up and worried now she is contemplating paying. I have told her not to on the back of this forum.

She's had a string of letters - the latest being a notice of intended litigation from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd. How many more letters should we expect? Anyone in Scotland been taken to (civil) court yet?
  • FTO - I just saw your post. My mother is now at letter number 5. Same values demanded too. Thanks for your post. Kinda reassuring.

I know of NO-ONE taken to Civil Court in Scotland over a fake PCN. If she pays now she's been mugged, the letters are all in the sticky thread so it really is a matter of looking what will arrive next and playing snap with it! If you go to the 'PPC letter chains' sticky and look at the OLD letters (pre-October) you will see that Zenith letters are next and the signatures are the same for two different fake staff members called Claire and James! :D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

We've received the exact same sequence of letters, with the 'reduced payment offer' arriving just this morning. Identical amounts. If I can, I'll post the letter I sent to them after their first letter. It might give a few folk a giggle.

No luck, not allowed to post links.
