I as yet have not received a ticket though I think I overstayed my welcome at the top retail park at Curry's.
You may all be interested to know it is no longer Land Securities (Almondvale's owners) that own this retail park, (confirmed by Land Securities) I too was surprised by this as they still seem to own the retail park at Matalan or could be the Designer Outlet that now owns the bottom retail park as seems to be the same parking payment system used as McArthur Glens car park and not the centres.
My Mum and I were shopping at the retail parks, both 1 (Matalan) and 2 (Curry's), we parked in Curry's, I went into Currys whilst Mum was in Matalan, long story short Matalan mucked up and we had to leave the retail park to goto the centre and were gone for ten minutes and returned to retail park 2 (Currys), Mum returned to Matalan to get it sorted out and then went to Currys together to get a kettle, we were in the retail park for probably 2 hrs 15 maybe slightly more.
After several calls to the centre, I spoke to a operations director at the centre who gave me several numbers for folk who own / operate the retail park (Retail Park Manager), I spoke to a guy called Martin who after explaining what happened to us said that as long as we were shopping there and still have receipts he will cancel the ticket. And actually emailed the parking ticket company Highview to get the ticket cancelled.
RESULT well we shall see, its only Wednesday it happened but he said if we received a ticket I had to call him back.
I wish I could give his number but i'd be compromising my circumstances but i'm sure if you follow what I have done you too could get his number.
Of course my circumstances are genuine and we were held up through Matalan, Martin couldn't have been nicer in all honesty.
But definately highlight this to the retail park owners as they will ultimately lose business, but The Centre (Almondvale) no longer own that retail park and cannot do anything to cancel tickets etc0 -
Thanks folks. I've not had a chance to check this site and the Debt Recovery Plus letters had been playing on my mind. These replies reassure me again.
Cheers :beer:0 -
Quick update for people. We received the reduced payment offer at the end of March after receiving a letter every two weeks or so. We've had nothing since so I expect they've given up. Chancers.0

Received one of these today,
On the day in question there was a blue badge holder present, the badge was displayed throughout the visit. Although the car was not parked in a disabled space, not sure if there are any to be honest.
Question is should I ignore or appeal0 -

As I received a charge notice from Highview Parking for a vehicle that was parked outside Currys at Livingston,
I thought this was the correct thread to post on.
Any other Forum I have posted on works that way.
So are you saying everyone that receives one of these should start a new thread0 -

You for example may need tailored advice to your own circumstances as the weeks go by, and it will be very confusing for you also if say five other people hijack your own thread.0 -

So what part of the rather clear "Do not bump threads" instruction in the posting conditions that you indicated your having read and accepted on signup are you having a bit of a problem with?0 -
Wow, steady on guys, he made a mistake.
Welcome to the forum, Alabro, I hope you get the advice you need on the other thread. FWIW, I'd say ignore them.0
