If you marry then I.S ceases straight away, you are then no longer a lone parent,
are you a couple now? is your partner the father of your youngest child.
does he have an address of his own whilst on leave??
Questions that may well be asked in regard to your current I.S claim

If you married you would keep CHB and DLA, what rate does your son get if middle rate care or above you can claim Carers Allowance now, if awarded you would keep this as well

has different address to mine for leave so is not living with me at all... no hes not the father to my children and son is on middle rate but cos hes 3 i cant be a carer as its my role as his mother.... i am not wantin to screw government over hence why im askin these questions.. id rather not my income on the web but i want answers so we do it above board.... please dont hate on me for askin questions.... surely its better to ask than to screw everyone over like most ppl would... i am looking into becoming a home childminder so i can care for my son at home and other children ( id love to work with special needs as i find it rewarding) buttt i wanted to know where we stood as to housing side and wether to look into army accom or not ... there has been 2 ppl i found helpful and have said thanks on their posts so can ppl plz either help or !!!!!!.... ty :):A

Sperm donor to pay child support

It appears that it depends on the method of donation.

If you have a partner and you're serious enough to be considering marriage then you are not a single mother and you are committing fraud if you are declaring that you are.
please read my quote from a moment ago.... i am a single mother as he is not my childrens father and has a seperate address to myself ...

ty and no jus so everyone is clear i was with the father but he let my son down when he was needed everytime and left my son to die.... not over exxagerating at all! my partner whom i am with has been his 'father' as i can not have future children when we are married hes adopting the children which means maintainance will be stopped but 'sperm donor' has no rights as hes not on original b.certi and has no involvement currently .

You mentioned your ex was the father of one child not two,
I was just pointing out how compliance may look at your claim, but you have given more details now
I told you your I.S would cease if you got married and as I didnt know the age of your child you may be able to get CA.
and good luck to you as well:rotfl:
and I think you need to chill

Whether or not the OP and their boyfriend are considering marriage is neither here nor there. In order to be regarded as LTAHAW (as the DWP puts it) they "must be members of the same household" i.e. they must live in the same house, and live there regularly. If the facts are that the boyfriend lives elsewhere then they are not LTAHAW no matter what their future intentions might be.

Your Ex sounds like a charmer indeed - for that you have my sympathies.

Do you consider your boyfriend and you a couple? Does he ever live with you (when home on leave), do you go on holidays together, does he use your address for mail - especially banks or loans, do your children call him dad?
