New Lloyds Vantage current account

If you change your Vantage account before 31 October 2013 to another account with Vantage and you qualify for the limited offer interest at the 4% rate, we may only pay you interest up to 3% monthly. If this occurs, a balancing payment representing interest earned between the possible 3% paid and the 4% you are entitled to compounded, will be paid into your account in November 2013.

This has been discussed before. It is if you upgrade e.g. your Classic to e.g. a Silver. Their systems don't appear to be able to cope. But I reckon it's basically irrelevant because the majority of people will want a Classic for the interest rate, not pay for an account with packaged & pre-selected insurance policies.0 -

That's what I thought.
Also very useful of them to add 'if you already have a Planned Overdraft or have applied for one as part of your call, we'll send these details to you separately'0 -

DDs always take a few days to show up in the bank accounts. Your Paypal question has definitely been covered in the thread, and might even find he answer in Paypal Help.
It was covered by me - but I'm not searching through 40+ pages for itI'm assuming I need to wait for PayPal to confirm my accounts via their deposits method before the DDs will be listed on Lloyds Online Banking?
TIA
Suze
You assume correctly. It takes 3 or 4 days to complete the process.
With Tesco, do I need to transfer any money to complete the creation of the DDs? They are not showing on my Lloyds Online Banking yet.
Have searched the threads but can't find the answers to my specific questions above.
TIA
Suze
You don't have to transfer any money, but several of us have done so, using £1 transfers just so the DDs are shown as being in use. There is nothing in Lloyds T&C requiring this though.0 -
Hi,
Just opened a couple of Lloyds TSB Classic Current Account with Vantage this week, heard nothing yet via email or post, any ideas when I should expect to have the accounts up and running?
The two DD's have to be added onto each account by the 31st October to qualify for the 4% offer, is this correct?
Many thanks in advance.0 -
If you opened them in branch or over the phone, then the account should be fully open by the time you leave the branch or end the phone call (they'll give you the account number there and then for setting up the DDs)
If you opened them online, then it could take 7 - 10 days for "processing". Longer if they can't validate your address/etc.
I opened my third account on Saturday and get all the usual paperwork junk this morning. Kept one a4 sheet, shredded the rest.0 -
Hell fire!! All these folk grumbling over what has & hasn't been covered when ATEOTD, what does it really matter to just answer a persons question if you know the answer? Who has time to sift through 41 pages & 800+ posts?
Suppose calling people lazy is more fun though eh?!0 -

Why's this thread so long?
Coz lazy people keep asking the same questions !0 -

If people did not constantly ask the same questions over and over, this thread wouldn't be 41 pages and 800+ posts.
It's not just lazy, its selfish. "I've not got time to read all these posts, so I'll just post and expect someone else to put the time in and repeat what they have already said".0
