** PS&P Ltd Debt collectors due to CPP fine **

They will not visit your house, you would be able to sue them for harassment. Even if they were stupid enough to do so, they are only debt collectors with none of the powers a properly court appointed bailiff has - tell them to get lost, then they are trespassing.0

Hi all, I too received this letter today. I have been disregarding the previous letters as people have advised but now with them threatening to visit my house, it's all become a bit more real. Anyone else had these letters or know if they stop shortly?
Cheers
Everyone gets these letters, it's part of the scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I ignored the letters for about a year and they finally seem to have stopped.0

Yeah the original incident happened in June 2012 and they only seemed to pick up interest again in the last month, after a long time of hearing nothing. Is this a familiar story with anyone else? Just wish they'd stop now, getting kind of tedious..0

I received my first letter today from PS&P after radio silence from CPP since November.
It's the standard first letter from them that other people have posted. Does anybody have any idea how much longer this rigmarole is going to carry on from these shysters?0 -
Well, if they're going to an old address, they won't find you there will they? Presumably the new residents will call the police to have them removed.
If they do eventually write to you at your new address, reply to them
'The debt is denied, return it to our client and don't contact me again. Any further contact will be considered harassment as covered by the Protection from Harassment Act 1999, and I will take action against you'.
Thanks for advice! It is my mums address do you think we should reply at this stage then?0 -
They really don't do door knocking. It's just another scare tactic. I guess it's time to sit tight for the moment. If any further escalation then you can write/tell them as per suggestion above. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Ok so all together I have had three letters since the one headed 'This Matter Should Be Given Your Urgent Attention'.
I have had a 'Second Application' letter, an 'Arrears Notice' and today I have received one giving me two options to either pay them with card or cash/cheque.
I know I'm being overly-cautious but is this the standard pattern of letters and not just my case being taken further than usual?
Cheers guys0 -
Sounds normal. Only take serious real small claims papers from Northampton Court - which would be obvious.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
