  • I think we are missing something
I know he only looked at the bikini pics because they are the ones that show in the history. I have no special folder.. They are all shown on the screen..albeit tiny pics and you select the ones you want to see in greater detail in a new window. These show on the internet hx. If he likes looking at people..then then there are plenty to choose from!

I must admit i couldnt resist looking to see if he'd looked. I had the pc on anyway. We dont have the pc on security or pw protected as theres just me and OH.

So the files were not in a folder. Were they in the pictures section of the computer or were the little pics on the computer desktop so were visible as soon as the computer came on.

So the big question OP, when you went out did you check that the computer was properly closed down or do you normally just let it sleep?

irrelevant and my point he shouldnt have touched the PC in the first place!

it not what the op has done with her PC its the fact he took it upon himself to go on it without permission is the key poiunt here.

in win7 you cant password protect a file unless you use a thirdparty program like winrar.

I don't know if I would be comfortable someone being on my computer who is a "stranger" if you like. How do we know if he didn't spank the monkey while looking at these pictures.

If I was you I would take your OH to one side and tell him what's happened.

    Good luck

    Steph xx

    Of course he did !

But you can set a password to deny access to any Windows programmes when you boot the PC up. This is exactly what we have done, in order to stop a snooping relation looking at our personal files when they stop over.

Same here - there's only me and DH, but we have passwords on all our computers; if the computer is untouched for 5 minutes, it requires the password to be input. We both know each others' passwords, but it does protect us from anyone we let in the house having a nose through our documents. We just feel it's a good habit to get into.

My laptop is password protected and I live alone, I want to make access difficult in case of theft.
