    2nd UU of the month

Ren Moroccan Rose Otto Body Lotion 50ml - absolutely loved sinks in really quickly, but as Willowbee has said previously, its a real pain to get out of the tube.

I have decided not to buy the LIB box on Sunday don't really need anything and should save my money for next months holiday. Plus I said I wouldn't buy anything this month.

I have a quick question and was wondering if anyone can help. After reading the article yesterday about the cruelty free leaping bunny I checked my products at home to see which carried the symbol. I was surprised to see it on some of them which I wouldn't have thought had it and not others. My main surprise was that it wasn't on Body Shop products which I thought was a cruelty free company - can anyone shine a light on this for me?

Tater - as far as I know, in order to get the 'leaping bunny' on your packaging, none of your products OR ingredients can be teasted on animals. I can only assume that some of the ingredients are not 'cruelty free' because as far as I know TBS does not test on animals.

Reading that back it doesn't really seem very helpfull!!

Also, I wonder if you have to pay to submitt your products for verification? If so, then would TBS 'gain' anything from putting this symbol on it's packaging?? It already is a very high profile company. Might be worth an e-mail to CS to verify that all the ingerdients used are cruelty free??

My first guess is they are, and this is purly a cost/marketing implication.

Of course, my mind is a mess at the moment - I could well be talking out of my behind and not even know it:o

Ooo where are you cruising to bunnykins? We go on our first cruise next Saturday and I am so excited. I've bought Ultrasun sunscreen to take with us.

I'm not going until the middle of September but like you this is my first cruise - to say I'm a little excited is the understatement of the century :D

I'm doing a Royal Caribbean cruise around the Med - it's called the Holy Land Cruise and we'll be stopping in Egypt, Israel, Greece, Turkey and Capri (start and finish in Rome) - Ooh I'm so excited :D:D:D

I've not tried the Ultrasun as DH has an allergic reaction to sunlight and tends to stick with P20 which I managed to pick up at half price last month at Mr S place :D I've got quite good skin (every where except my face) so I'm on the Soltan that I picked up this week - cheap and cheerful for me :D

Back on topic and I've got a couple of UU's - no idea what they were as they were unloved products that I filled up the hand wash bottles in the kitchen and bathroom with. Both have finished today and they are now both full of Mr T's 11p baby bath which is now resting upside down in the bathroom for me to rinse out in my next bath :p Very :money:me thinks :D

Have a good weekend everyone - hopefully with plenty of UU's :rotfl:

Hi Bunnykins. We're going on Royal Caribbean as well - the Independence of the Seas - ours is the Mediterranean Treasures cruise sailing to Gibralter, Barcelona, Vigo, Cannes, Alicante, Malaga and Palma. We sail from Sounthampton.

I bought an Ultrasun kit from QVC (TSV) because I didn't really want to be carrying bottles around with us when we were touring but think I will at first to see how it works for us.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • Happy belated birthday Flirtini - if it is any consolation, I hated being 30 - it was far worse than turning 40, but in the end I loved my 30s - I had such a laugh, got married, had my first little one so in the end it all worked out fine.

Catriona - big hugs - hope you manage to sort things. We are all here for you if you need to vent....

And some UUs to kick start August:

Liz Earle gentle face exfoliator 15ml tube - love this - one of the best scrubs I have used - nice and scrubby but not at all drying. When I finally graduate in facial scrubs this will be on my list to repurchase. Going to move onto a S&G one now - don't know why I fell for the hype on S&G but am slowly making inroads into my stash.

Liz Earle conditioner - love Liz's skincare but feel a bit meh about the haircare - just doesn't work for my hair. I know some of you ladies love it but still searching for my HG haircare products.

Hope to just have my Amarya as an IN - won't be doing the Dec TSV so that will be £5 in my SPC.

    Have a good weekend everyone

I like the Liz Earle one - lovely and soothing and has a delicious smell. Otherwise Banana boat aloe vera gel does the trick too if you can't lay your hands on the LE one quickly. The BB gel does have a rather alarming colour to it but it is soothing

What did you see? We couldn't get tickets for the Olympics but hopefully will be going to the Paralympics.

Well done for starting your stash list, Noelphobic :T :T :T

Not everyone needs to do a stash list but it was the most helpful thing I did - it shocked me into action!

I think it's very sensible to do it a bit at a time. I found it quite enjoyable to do (although I did have a 'what have I done??!!!' panic in the middle of the process :rotfl: Everyone here was very sweet and encouraging so I got through my meltdown pretty quickly!). You have lots of smaller sized things on this list so you should be able to make good progress :D I started with a few 'easy wins' to get me off to a good start.

I have a complete stash list with everything divided into simple categories (that was when I really appreciated that I have a lifetime supply of facial skincare and body lotion - it becomes clear what your weak points are very quickly ). I also have a used up list so that I stay encouraged. When I post a UU I say what number it is but (again) not everyone does that. I have an awful memory so it's my only way of keeping track of how I'm doing. (Quite honestly I seem to be very slow at using things up - very :money: but not so good for the challenge...) Kiplingmonkey has an amazing sounding spreadsheet system - this is beyond me but one useful thing that I copied from her is that I now record the date of any new ins (not that there should be any :o). In the long-run this will help me determine which things need to be used up first :)

    Anyhow. VERY GOOD LUCK!
