ps. I meant to ask about Biore pore unclogging scrub - I've dug this out of my stash to use as I'm feeling a little clogged at the moment and wondered how often I could use it as it doesn't say anything on the tube.
Anyone else use this and how often do you use it???
Thanks

I would be very interested to hear more about Kiplingmonkey's spreadsheet system. I have been managing my finances on a spreadsheet for years and it does help to know where I am up to and when I need to cut down - sounds like a spreadsheet for toiletries would be a great idea.
I am going to list what's in the bathroom next and add it to my inventory. Then there's the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, my bedroom, my son's bedroom, the spare bedroom, my handbag, spare handbags, suitcases, work .....
I have 2 spreadsheets (zzzipp - sound of anorak being fastened..) - 1 which is an alphabetical list of products by brand and then a categorised one eg bath & body, cleansers and toners, hand & feet, eye make up etc etc. I have a tally of 'given aways', mini's used and full sizes used. I colour code by year when I add something and this has really helped me target the lurkers in the deepest darkest recesses of my stash. I have to say that it was my admission of these spreadsheets at our work Christmas do (which was a complete conversation stopper :rotfl:) that made me join the challenge as I think everyone at work thought I was a freak!
I am so much better for being on the challenge - I am not a saint by any means but I have seriously curbed my toiletry and make up spend and do know that at some point I will graduate - it may take me til I'm 70 but then I will have lots of fun and enjoyment getting there (and will smell and look gorgeous along the way LOL!).
No £1 a year spend on deodorant for me - that reminded me of the Blackadder episode when the puritanical rellies came to stay.....I'd rather be in the room with the fake t*ts revellers any day.....0 -
I have ins. I have bought 2 tubes of nair today as I need to get bikini ready for holiday next week. Hopefully I can do that tomorrow morning as DH is taking the kids to the airport for a tour around to try and allay DS's fears about the flight. We're hoping to avoid panicking children on the plane

I had a nosey at the Q site yesterday to see what TSVs are coming up whilst I'm away and the only one that I'll be sad not to see is the YC one. They're coming around too often now though! To console myself I bought a new Large Jar candle from Debenhams yesterday in Warm Spice fragrance - was a little :money: as it was Fragrance of the Month so I got 25% off. Can't stand the Autumn Lodge one that I've been burning anymore.Soooo anyone any recommendations for aftersun? I got a bit crispy at the Olympics yesterday(
I really like the 99% Aloe Vera Gel from Holland and Barrett.ps. I meant to ask about Biore pore unclogging scrub - I've dug this out of my stash to use as I'm feeling a little clogged at the moment and wondered how often I could use it as it doesn't say anything on the tube.

Hi Bunnykins, I've used Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub daily before now and it's been fine.
I bought another tube of Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator yesterday - I've moved onto this as I find that my skin does feel polished as soon as I remove it. I don't have enough left in my current tube to last my hols I'm sure as it's making that "pht" sound when I squeeze it. This was therefore a necessity as I only had one tube on the go. I've ditched the Johnsons one as Emma says it made her skin tight as well.
Also bought from JL yesterday : Elemis Senstive Shave Gel for MrM and Cleanse & Polish for Emma. Staples for them both and both on last tubes/bottles.
I did pick up some more clothes for my cruise too on the Debenhams sale. The lack of baggage allowance and the fact that there are no laundry facilities means I'll be packing the kitchen sink for this trip. Picked up 2 pairs of cropped jeans that were reduced - one in usual dark indigo colour and the others are hot pink. Also got a navy blue top with a big flower print on it and the spanx pants that I went in for.
Also sampled the new Marc Jacobs Dot fragrance and think I may pick this up in Duty Free. It's lovely although it does remind me of something I've had before but I can't put my finger on it. Have been having a search online this am but to no avail. Anyone else smelt it yet?Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Been to TC (Trafford Centre) today with a buddy and came back with 3 cans of Mitchum deo - not going on the naughty step for these as I'm using my last one, these were on offer in SD for half price and they are my HG deo's......am I excused then?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I kinda wish I hadn't read this! Mitchum is also my HG. I presently have a roll on sitting upside down in my bathroom cabinet and a new 50ml roll on which I will probably take as hand luggage on holiday. Going to look for a dress to wear for a wedding today and I can hear Superdrug calling me:o
Was the offer just on aerosols or on roll ons also? I can resist the aerosols because last time I had one it didn't last five minutes, whereas the roll ons last forever. Only problem with them is that they take forever to dry, which is a pain when you're in a hurry. I think they're possibly more effective though.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

I have to confess that I am also a candleholic. Anyone else?

I love that dot perfume. I walk thru boots everyday to work and spray myself haha it is a very familiar scent, sort of like daisy but with a new note.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge
