I am going to buy one nail polish on saturday and that's it! That's all I will buy in the next two months. PROMISE ! lol

Oh oops, other than some small toiletries for my holiday in Mid sept, but other than that, NO MORE BUYING! Please yell at me if I come on here with IN's :)

Oooooooo which nail varnish are you buying? Do you have one in mind? I'm loving A England at the moment, beautiful colours :D

It took a while to get my routine right as I have rather annoying skin - combination with rosacea of the nose and occasionally cheeks. It also changes with the season! It sometimes feels like a bit of an effort, but saves time in the long run.

I have a combination of eczema, acne and rosacea, mainly on the t zone. What works for one condition doesn't work so well for the others, which is a pain. I find my nose to be the worst lately. It gets very dry and sore to the point that the skin sometimes breaks and bleeds. This happens even when I use really rich moisturiser/night cream.

    Any tips anyone?

Kaz - I was v interested in the fact that you said your skin is doing better without creams etc Trying to make myself remember this and not go into product overload mode...

There have been times when my skin has been especially bad, no matter how much tlc and attention I have lavished on it. Sometimes I find that when I give up and neglect it shamefully it actually gets better, or at least doesn't get any worse. There have been times when I've realised that it's actually better to wash/cleanse it as little as possible - I know that sounds awful but for some reason it does help occasionally.

Pasturesnew - I would love to know how you only manage to spend £1 a year on deodorant!! I probably have to buy some every month on average!
    !

I was shocked at that too! My HG is Mitchum and I used the roll ons for quite a while. I got fed up of them taking so long to dry so bought an aerosol. That didn't last very long so back to the roll ons as they are definitely better value for money. I've presently got one in my bathroom cabinet upside down and that seems to be helping it to last for quite a while. I can't imagine how I could only spend £1 a year on deodorant though!

That sounds so painful. Do you have anything which works OK on all conditions, but not quite good enough on some? one recommendation I read is not necessarily to use richer products, but use more often, e.g. cleanse and apply when you get in from work, then apply moisturiser/treatment again before bed on areas needed, may not be what you need, hopefully others may be able to offer help.

Have you come across www.beautymouth.com, great crib sheets for various skin problems, fairly high end products used, but lots of advice on what not to use and why too. She also does a weekly Q&A session called The Clinic, well worth reading back through posts to find these.

forgot to say ,when I moved into the spare room the cat came too!She always comes upstairs when DH brings the tea and has a little routine where she ends up on his chest(never on me) well not any more....think he is more upset by her defection than by me moving out:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Rosemary - Although your situation is not one to be laughed at, this did make me chuckle!! Same happend with my parents yrs ago, cat suddenly went to bed with mum - my step-day was sooooooooooo unimpressed. Think he was really hurt!

Catriona - I'm sending hugs to you. Hope that thinkgs improve soon.

Think I might start to tot up all of my UU like some of you ladies do. Really wish that I had done this from the begining as I think it might give me added motivation when I need it.

Really looking forward to cracking open my money stash at the end of the month. I so want to know just how much I have managed to save. Going to put the cash towards a trip to the Grand Canyon when I'm in Vegas in Sept.

Talking of holidays - I'm still in my 'I need this for my hols' phase. I do need to do something about this, or I will have spent all of my cash before the plane takes off.

Good times today - took delivery of all my nathroom 'bits' yeaterday. Opened them up today and it's all so lovely!!!! Can't wait to get it fitted - it will be a nice suprise when I get back from my hols.

Was at the hospital again today (and on Monday and tomoro!) mum has got a date for her main op - 21st of the month. So at least we now have a 'plan of attack' and can begin to move forward. I koow it's gonna be a lonh haul, but in a strange way it will be good to actually feel like we are getting somewhere.

Hope everyone has a good weekend !

I have sooooo much to catch up on....and my memory sucks just now.

Belated Happy Birthday Flirtini. If it offers some relief, my 29th birthday was much harder than my 30th..odd as I never thought it would be. I had put so much presure on myself on what I had to achieve and my 29th year was like a mini meltdown. By my 30th it just happened and things were much more relaxed (that and I have never looked my age). I turned 35 last week and have already been told by 3 different people they though I was 28 :D:D. One guy even offered some thoughful supportive tips to get me though to my 30th birthday :rotfl:I should add I didn't bother to correct any of them

Cat - Hugs to you and all that is going on. It sounds rather overwhelming. Come on here anytime for a chat/offload/rant xo

Bravo ladies on your responces to this month's more minimalist poster.:T:T Well said.

Rosemary - at least the cat has got the right idea :) Glad to hear you are enjoying a quiet, snore-free sleep.

I know there was more I wanted to comment on but I can't remember.

Oh - welcome to the newbies. This is a lovely thread here.

I have had a lousy day - from feeling rather nausious with some rather awful moments in the bathroom today  to work problems I am done in.

I am off to bed now and taking Mr Gray with me!:p
