Hello, back in for another month. Thank you Ruby Eskimo for starting this month. Welcome newbies.

A UU a 50ml travel Mitchum Unperfumed Roll-on Anti persp.
    HG product, one in stash.

Hmm, another one of our periodic minimalists has popped in to make a point. Thank you for your contribution, PasturesNew.
Do any of you remember when I worked out the minimalist spending routine for toiletries?

You can do it all (keep hair and body clean, moisturised & pong-free) on a tenner a year. The £1 a year on deo would be from using a Value product, though not Mr T's as that is 70p now (used to be about 30p!)

I rather think that PasturesNew won't read the responses here, but whilst I could do a minimalist routine, I actively choose not to as it is so boring.
There are many things that I cannot do now, due to my disability, but I can choose to give my now rather creaky body all the best care that I can.
I don't believe - and have read the scientific proofs to back me up- that expensive products are better than cheaper alternatives.
So no Benefit, Clinique or Elemis for me, but I understand the mind-set of those who do use them. Cold logic doesn't need to be applied to every decision we make in life, and if the costly product suits you best, use it.
A jar of aqueous cream would moisturise me adequately at 500ml for £1. But it is fragrance-free, and I love nice smells.
And, most importantly, I use up all the nice things I'm given and treat myself to (PRCP, newbies).
I know .... I've said all this before .... and I'll probably say it again... !

PS. Avon order due today. If I remember correctly, it was all presents.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

    And - Well said.

Catriona - I know how hard the terrible two's are but you will look back on them fondly one day so try to keep a sense of humour about it as little tots having a hissy fit are so funny. Oh and if she does it in public don't worry about others as I think people look at you not because they want her to shut up but quite often because they remember being there themselves.

Hope you get sorted out with your DH.

Agree with Dolly84, about the looks, when I see a little one in meltdown, I remember some of the times with my SGChildren, when all we wanted to happen is for the ground to open up beneath us and make a hasty exit:rotfl:Now they are gearing up to go to University and are funny, lovely, loving and clever, and sometimes annoying in a completely different way!

Same here lovely body lotion, just a pain to get out of the tube, is the full size the same I wonder?

The full size one comes in a pump:

It's a bit expensive for me (I'd rather put my money towards facial skincare/make up than body care). Really lovely though and they had very pretty gift sets at Christmas of the body cream and shower gel :)

Catriona - I'm really sorry to hear that things are so difficult :( Hopefully at least one thing will ease/improve soon. I'm glad that you have us to cheer you along a bit - sometimes the act of saying that things are TOO MUCH helps. It's not wallowing in problems, more an acknowledgement that things are genuinely challenging/horrid. I've found I feel better once I've put my 'too much' flag up - it actually enables me to start again/reset in a funny way. (I'm not sure that makes much sense but last month was definitely a too much month for me )

Maddiemay - I bought some Dr Bronner liquid soap in Waitrose when they had a 3 for 2 on all shower gel. (I've not tried it yet! :rotfl:). This company seem good and they have free P&P on any order:

Oh! I'm being called for dinner. Will be back later with a used up to report!

    I'm in again too please:)

Only got a couple of UU's to report:-
    1. Garnier Nutrisse hair dye foam
    2. The conditioner that came in the pack before the one I used today:o There's far too much conditioner for my extremely fine flyaway hair and if it see's the conditioner too often greasy can be added to the description:eek:

Got loads of splutters though so hopefully can report on those within the next day or two (depends on how much is in the SD vitamin E Hot cloth cleanser when I cut it open tonight ;))

Now for my confessions:- I thought I was cured as I didn't bat an eyelid at the REN offers or BS or any other then...............today I fell of the wagon big style - oops:rotfl:I blame those folks on the Grabbit board for my downfall but hey....I got 6 small bottles of Soltan (handbag size) for the price of one (and they will be used on next months cruise (my excuse is that a small bottle is easier to carry on the day trips:D), then on line I got the Sanctuary offer along with a Lego and syvannian families toy which will be put away for my niece and nephew for Christmas.

As a penance I have started a spreadsheet listing everything I buy under the guise of "its a present" so that come Christmas everyone will have something nice (and I wont have spent alot) - still can't face doing an inventory of my toiletries though :eek::eek::eek:)

Also have two sensitive eyes mascaras that DS2 got from his clearance stand at work - think thats now 8 mascara's I have (or is it 9?????)

    Hugs to all

Forgot to mention, my body shop order arrived today bought with a 50% off code. I can't believe how good i was didn't buy a single thing for myself, just got 2 shaving creams for DH and the free gift was a shampoo mini, got the version most suitable for DH so I wouldn't be tempted to add to buy stash. Now thats progress.
