Happy birthday Flirtini, I hope you had a great day, remember age ain't nothing but a number! (and I'm 32 so I've lived to tell the tale of leaving my 20's :rotfl:)paperheart wrote: »mad_scientist - a 'decades worth of perfume' that sounds amazing! I am quite envious (though I realise this goes against the spirit of what I am trying to achieve here). I love fragrance and the bottles they come in.
I'm not very happy with my gigantic perfume stash because it means I won't be able to buy any nice new stuff for the forseeable future! When I was rooting through my stash to list them allI found bottles that hadn't seen the light of day for years, nothing seems to have gone off yet
I have managed the first temptation of August and returned my Avon book with no order, phew!No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

Thanks for the link to this article sunshineyday, it was interesting reading. I read all the criticism of UD last month but hadn't realised that L'Occitane were selling to China as well. I'll need to go back to the BUAV website to read up on bunny friendly toiletries!No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

I am back in for August. I need to catch up so just a quick post to say my Ins/Outs
In - Freebie Olay Regenerist cream
UU- Kenneth Turner Nature Nurture hand lotion 50mls. WMBA - it was nice to use and had a lovely consistancy. I am now back to the S & G Hand Food. Returning to this after using something far better is making me resent using it. I am hating this and have decided to donate it into my work as a communal hand cream.
Also - Quickies Nail Varnish remover - WBA as they are handy and they work.
Hope everyone is well. I will be able to catch up tomorrow as RL is taking up all my time at the mo.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
Thank you for your concern:A, I am currently using a Clinique, too lazy to go and look if it is SPF 30 or 40, and I have a small size of a Decleor to try afterwards. I have always used at least SPF15, which is the reason, I believe, that I am less lined than a lot of my peer group:D.
Hurrah! That's a relief :rotfl:I kept thinking of it at the oddest times but I might have known that you'd be well prepared with good sun protection :cool: It's good to know that looking after your skin has paid off so well :beer:

Late to the party again!
Hi Everyone ***waves madly***
I'm in again, I did quite well in July and I'm hoping to keep it up for August!0 -
Pasturesnew - I would love to know how you only manage to spend £1 a year on deodorant!! I probably have to buy some every month on average!
Have a few splutterers going on at the moment and feel a bit weird that I have to replace them. Thank you for this, very interesting, I can see that as I look to buying replacement products I am going to have to do a lot more research, trouble is I now feel I need a lot more help from the high-tech stuff. Off now to try and find a source for Dr Bronner instead of L'Occitane liquid soap, so far from civilisation, but will phone the health food stores locally or possible try Faith in Nature, local Oxfam sells that.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. I bought a bottle of shampoo and conditioner, each for 50p in a sale in December 2008 - they lasted just over a year, then I started using up previous/old bottles ... and am now in a position where by the end of 2012 I might have got through all the old odds/sods and need to buy one of each at the start of 2013.
Toothpaste = £2/year.
Deodorant = £1/year
That's my lot!
Oh, I did have to buy some sun cream 2 weeks ago. £3.33 in Tesco - that'll do for this year and next year.
I think my first thought to this was 'good for you'. I have to wash my hair everyday as it is fine and looks dreadful otherwise and I am not prepared to look dreadful for the sake of it. Toothpaste - £2 a year - seriously - my teeth are here to stay I hope and I use a good toothpaste to ensure they do. Deoderant - £1 a year - I think I use a spray can in a month a roll on probably lasts 3 months so I don't think there is any way you can use it everyday. I just won't be smelly for the sake of it.
I don't drink a lot, don't smoke at all, don't take drugs, don't have lavish holidays or nights out, don't eat tonnes of takeaways so spending on beauty luxuries is my little indulgence.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
