Should children be banned from Aircraft?

I see this has been in the news today. Some woman in America is calling for the banning of children on airplanes.
Personally, I think they'd be fine in the hold. No need to ban them completely!

lol I agree with you there! I personally would like a adults section in peak holiday seasons, as I don't think I've ever been on a summer flight without badly behaved (or supervised) children.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

Leave the little brats at home! I hate that when you are on a flight and children are playing up or squealing babies..... ban them ban them
id pay extra for a child free flight and a bit of peace

I'd take a screaming kid over some adults any day. There are certain nations who should never be allowed to fly until they've grasped basic manners!0

Ha ha . Yes i agree totally. Especially when you are having your meal and some idiot in front decides to recline their seat...totallybored wrote: »I'd take a screaming kid over some adults any day. There are certain nations who should never be allowed to fly until they've grasped basic manners!0 -
Behaviour management is something that many parents suck at, so yes for idiotic parents.0

Can we also ban the bloke that snores, the people that talk with mouths full, the ones who have to have their newspaper take over my seat as well as theirs when they read it, the people with headphones on so loud I hear that tinny noise through them, the screechy hen night girls who had a few too many drinks before they got on the plane, and the couple arguing over every domestic detail.
Most kids don't wind me up as much as any of them0 -
Air Asia X are about to introduce a child free cabin apparently, however, whatever you think about banning kids on flights, flying is in effect a mode of public transport and even in premium cabins, squealers cannot be avoided.
My take is that it is not the kids fault if air pressure results in a little tantrum on take off or landing - but very often it's some parents that should be banned from an aircraft when they allow them to run riot!0 -
I agree, some parents put their headphones on and then ignore the kids until they have a major tantrum. Even then, some let them just get on with it.
Its a difficult one, whatever happens it wont please everyone.
