:rotfl:afraid I had to look him (Elliot Cowan) up, didn't know who he was but hmm yes, very nice, especially with hair/a wig!:D I was [STRIKE]fantasising [/STRIKE] thinking more about Gerard Way, Jacoby Shaddix etc but maybe I need to broaden my horizons
eta not sure I'll broaden them as far as Timothy Spall though, eyeliner or no eyeliner

5:30
im not a morning person - the snooze on my alarm is hit at least 3 times before I get up! the extra 5 minutes (ok, 20) let me slowly wake up before I leave my lovely warm bed0 -
I'm not denying I might wear it more often as I get older or that my habits may change.
My skin isn't perfect but it is REALLY pale lol so most make up bases are wayyyyyyyyy too dark and look a bit daft.
And I wasn't trying to be mean to folk that wear it (indeed I like a bit of eyeliner on my men too) but it's hard being made to feel like an alien for NOT wearing lots of make-up.0 -

I don't really know how to 'do' make-up, as I've never worn it much. I thought my wedding make-up looked rubbish. I hate mascara, it makes my eyes look horrible.
One eye is bigger than the other, and I have a face full of freckles, so I've always thought that make-up accentuated the bad rather than enhancing the good. Lipstick looks nice on me though, so perhaps I ought to learn how to use subtle make-up. I've always been quite goth, so I used black eyeliner and mascara, whereas a paler brown might suit me better.
The lady in the body shop showed me how to use bronzer, lipstick and a white-ish marbled eyeshadow for just the bare minimum, and I like that, so I do that for going out but I don't see the point for everyday use, not for being a housewife.
My husband is colour blind and he says he can't really tell the difference, except for lipstick and eyeliner. He likes my cheekbones and says I look fine without make-up.52% tight0 -
I wear make-up everyday; the full works, it's a faff to have to do it everyday but I just can't go without it!
I'm nearly three stone overweight with spot prone skin and it just makes me feel better in myself then if I don't bother! My confidence is fairly low so it just makes me feel a bit better about myself and it's for me only, not to impress anyone else!
But then again, I'm not bothered if other people don't wear it, it's their choice and I'm not going to judge them as lazy or anything else

I may be completely wrong here, but OP's original post and subsequent replies really do seem as though the purpose of the thread is to make her feel good about herself and to run down those who wear makeup all the time.... just sayin'.
I don't wear it every day and do leave the house without it (I put it on when I get to work), I feel it's the final part of my routine. When my makeup is done I feel ready to tackle whatever the day throws at me. Having said that I don't wear tons.£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit

I read it to be that way too. Most people I know over 25 wear make up because they want to rather than because that’s how they feel society tells them to.
I know an attractive 18 year old who wears fake eyelashes, hair extensions and lip plumpers as well as full face of make up – Ive often joked to her that when her dad says they are going up the pub that he needs to tell her 2 days before so she can start getting ready!
She recently went on holiday with her dad and she said it was far too hot for the extensions, eyelashes and full make up and she spent 2 weeks just wearing lipgloss, mascara and eyeliner – when she put the pictures on facebook she had so many compliments (especially off a boy she fancies) she now thinks twice before faking it!0
