    That is quite nasty, actually.

What I don't get are the people who say that they can't leave the house without putting on make-up - like they wouldn't nip to the shops or go and pick up the kids from school without caking it on. Fine, if you want to go out to work or out on the town with some make-up on, but unless you have some physical disfigurement I don't see the need to put it on routinely, and it suggests a deep-routed insecurity to me.
  • I wear it as feel more comfortable, more for my eyes than my skin as my eyes disappear into my head if I don't 'do them'

My whole make up 'routine' takes about 3 minutes so not too bad, but at the weekend or as soon as I get home from work, it comes off as I like to be make up free where possible if I don't need to put my face on !

No it is factual and since I get hassle from them for the fact I'm NOT wearing it I feel fully justified in saying so.

Again can I say I'm curious but not down on anyone for wearing/not wearing it. Just wondered that's all!

Also got comments for not having polished nails (maybe beacuse I spend my at home time chopping wood, gardening, playing with kids/animals etc :j)

Why the 'ouch'? I don't see any replies that are nasty. You asked a question and everyone has just answered.

It can just come across as quite judgemental. It's like saying "I have perfect skin, I'm so confident, why aren't the rest of you?"

Agreed! But I'm a full face girl when I go out!!!

I used to work for a cosmetics comapny in my teens so I see it as part of a job to wear it lol!

I don't wear make up every day though I know I look better with it than without. I did when I was freelancing and I will wear it if I know I have a big meeting as it makes me feel more confident but for the most part I'd rather do the sudoku on the train (because I'm not organised enough to do my make up anywhere other than the train!)

I did wear a lot of make up every day when I was younger and I think the reason I'm relatively wrinkle free now is that the foundation protected my skin from the sun.
