Wohooo, I got my free Boots changing bag coupon finally:). How sad that I get excited about freebies:). Also a couple of money off coupons from Tesco and because it's baby event, I might just go and have a look tomorrow what they have.

Day is over, time to catch up on things, I have unfortunately things to sort out:(.

Hi Kavics, glad the the doula was nice but it's a shame she's not available all the time - you should definitely look into the other numbers she gave you, I'm sure they'll be just as lovely. Brilliant about the baby freebies too :) x

The doula was lovely, I'm really tempted booking her even though she is not available 3 nights a week. She also does post natal visits which I would really appreciate. Seeing another doula on Friday and will call another 2 this week. They are all student/mentored doulas and only charge for travelling expenses so I think it's worth the money. I certainly would not book a qualified one, wouldn't be able to pay up to £700 for the service.

Wow that's a lot of money - what does it include? Maybe I should be thinking of retraining as a doula not a teacher!!

I haven't posted before but I wanted to say I really admire you, and that your strength shines through.

Could you not have two Doulas on call as it were, and only pay the one who had to turn out, or is that not acceptable to them?

Not sure a out two doulas, I need to think through it. I have a midwife appointment today, might ask for her opinion. She knows about my oh but hoping she won't ask questions, I will need to go back to work after the appointment and don't want to be teary and upset.

It's nearly payday, can't wait to have some money in my account. I got a letter from inland revenue yest, I need to call them about underpaid tax too. Oh gosh so much to sort out and I have no motivation whatsoever.

The Doula sounds like a great idea, I'd heard of them but didn't really understand what it was about until I had a google.

I love getting freebies too, it's very exciting. I'm looking forward to getting the boots bag. I just got a couple of small cuddly toys from Cow and Gate and another company as well (I can't remember which one) and I got a voucher for a baby pack from Sainsburys too yesterday which I haven't collected yet.

Hope the midwife appointment goes well today.

Midwife went well, she was lovely. Baby is measuring spot on, she listened to heart beat but at the same time my little girl was just kicking and kicking. I see her again in 3 weeks time, scary that I'm officially in my third trimester.

I really need to make some phone calls today, I keep putting them off but I mustn't waste my time anymore.

So to do list for today:
    • [STRIKE]call Inland Revenue[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]call Doula 1[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]call Doula 2[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]call communal charges company[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]scan documents and email them to nappy lady[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]cancel pregnancy massage appointment[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]cancel netflix trial[/STRIKE]

Glad baby girl is doing well - gosh not long to go now.

Hopefully you will get a Doula - I too had to google what one was but it seems such a good idea.
  • Glad the baby is active and healthy :)

Yes - lists are the way forward - best of luck!
