I received the offer letter from Canada Square by the way.

Received offer letter from Canada Square, received cheque about 2 weeks ago.

    All banked no problem £2100.
  • How long did it take for you to get your cheque after you posted your acceptance form back?

  • Hi All

Thankfully received my cheque on the 13th Dec quite some time after posting my acceptance which I was told only after 2 months that they had not received it! Just make sure they tell you that they have received it because that will be their first excuse, I had an email from that Simon stating as such after u scanned and sent it to him, but not funny after all previous correspondence not telling me they had not received it, it seems like people will get their money but with up to a 3 month wait of continuous chasing the cheque up!

All the best for those that are still waiting
  • Proper grrrr moment!

Finally someone from CSO called me today after numerous e-mails (and putting in today's e-mail that I expected a call today!!) to say that looking at my complaint, there was a problem processing my cheque, and a replacement was ordered last Friday, so my 20 working days starts again from Friday 14th December?! (Bear in mind the received my acceptance Thursday 22nd November)

Not impressed!!! I have asked them to update me via phone every day this week by 3pm with progress, as I expect them to honour the 20 day from receipt of acceptance timescale they set out (although that ends this Friday 11st dec) as it's not my problem they made the mistake - and the complete lack of communication from them is insulting.

Lets see what they say tomorrow when (if) they call me, see if they can speed the process up a bit.

Will try and get a contact number for them and if it works post it on MSE

  • Proper grrrrr moment part 2!!!

So - they called me today as promised, but they say they can't expedite the cheque any quicker!

20 working days starts from Friday 14th December (date or reordered cheque) so I should expect the cheque no later than Thursday 17th January. (Although I expect that date to slip given the Christmas break)

Turns out they made a mistake processing the first cheque, then a mistake on the replacement so that was pulled from the system too?!

No explanation as to why, and if it won't happen again this time round either.

Spoke to a team leader in the PPI complaints team, who was quite apologetic, but ultimately the message was "tough-you'll have to wait!"

Not happy, but what can you do.

However - if anyone else is struggling, you can contact the PPI team on 0800 358 2101

    Thanks,

    A
  • Success!

My cheque has just dropped through the postbox! Shame it was held up before christmas due to errors at CSO, but still, I'm a lot happier that it has arrived well before I expected it to after the delays!

The replacement cheque took 7 working days - was dated christmas eve, so not bad due to the christmas postal delays!

Thanks again to anyone who contributed their time and advice - and if anyone is having problems, do call the PPI team on 0800 358 2101 - they were really helpful whilst I was complaining about the delays to my cheque!

Just reviving this thread to see how long the wait is for Egg cheques these days...?

I posted my acceptance form off 2 weeks ago, just called them (on the number a PP gave) and they said they can't give account specific details, and there is no-one that I can speak to who can! All he could do was pass my query on to the PPI team to check.

It's really annoying, all I want to do is speak to someone who can look at my account and say yes we've received/no we haven't, and get some kind of timescale as to when I can expect the cheque to be posted. Not very good customer service really is it!

I'm still waiting after 30 days (confirmation of acceptance was dated 30/11). Chased three times since the New Year without much success. I also emailed Simon Cooper last week. Rang yesterday and they have re-issued the cheque on 11/1 and it will be with me within another 20 days.

I've written an official complaint about this by post today especially as you can't contact them by phone or email properly. The helpdesk only deal with 50% of cases and the other 50% go to the non-contactable team!

Oh dear. I hope it arrives soon.

I did manage to speak to someone about my account, they said that they have received my acceptance and will be ordering the cheque.

    Well, they've clearly improved.

Offer within three weeks, cheque within 10 working days of them receiving my acceptance form.
