Just had daughter's wedding. Guests were extremely generous with their contributions to the honeymoon and they had absolutely no other presents (zero photo frames or toasters).
Even 94 year old nan seemed genuinely happy to give cash. If anyone was offended they didn't say. It was however a fairly small wedding (70 guests) and only close friends and family were invited. Also everyone was invited to the whole day, with no extra evening guests. Don't know if that makes a difference.0
