@SaveThe Euro - I used the first option

Thats interesting because you don't need to enter the destination.

Have you tried it since your flight to see what happens? Does it give you access to details of either flight?

One other thought: although you have changed jobs could you have imported personal documents (including the old PDF boarding passes) onto your work computer?

I'm afraid somebody more technical would have to tell me how it could have happened. I work in an entirely different industry, different office, different company than I did in September - there are no connections or shared software/hardware at all.

I printed the page the user gets to immediately before the 're-print boarding passes' option, as this was greyed out. I took that to the airport but they wouldn't allow it. This page clearly said besides each name that the customers' details had been added, meaning I had completed the online check-in process.

As I had flown out with a different airline and was travelling with other friends who I had booked separately, I didn't look at my Ryanair boarding pass properly until it was too late. I realise that was a mistake but I am certainly not to blame for the wrong one being issued.

You have logged into your old booking - otherwise you would have the option to reprint your boarding pass. Plus you didn't even have a valid boarding pass - the screen you describe is simply a confirmation. Did alarm bells not ring at that point?

I can't see how this could be anything other than user error. If what you described was a system error it would happen to lots of people, not just you.

I tried to re-print but the flight was three hours away so I was unable to.

Once you have checked in, can't you print your boarding pass any time? Why do Ryanair prevent you doing so three hours before the flight?

Because the terms and conditions you agree to, state that you must check-in and print your boarding card not less than 4 hours before departure time.........simples

Ryanair close the online boarding pass system 4 hours before the flight

So that when you get to the airport and realise that you haven't already printed your BP and RA tell you it's going to cost you x£'s, you can not just leave the queue and find an internet terminal to print them off from. But curiously RA can do it for you, at a cost.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

It's something to do with the system finalising something or other at that time. Though I wouldn't suggest Ryanair don't love the side-effect being they get extra money, it's a pretty standard thing for several airlines I've flown on (no idea if it's industry standard or not though) - whether they charge for check-in/boarding pass reprints or not.

I logged into the correct booking as I copied and pasted the reference code from the email. I then added all mine and my friend's details e.g. name, document type, passport number, d.o.b etc, then clicked 'print boarding pass'. This was done 9 days before my flight as the woman at the 'help' desk could see on her system.

When I realised there was an error it was 3 hours before my flight so it wouldn't allow me to re-print. I then printed the nearest page I could which said customer document details had been added. Alas Ryanair didn't want to help, even though I had done all the data processing for them. I was one hour away from being able to re-print, but they shouldn't have got it wrong in the first place. It was no surprise the Ryanair 'help' desk was constantly busy with people holding receipts for extra charges.
