Ryanair sent me incorrect boarding pass

I flew with Ryanair on a flight from Ibiza to Stansted on Friday 27th July 2012. I checked the boarding passes for me and my friend and realised I had those from my flight to Seville last year. I tried to re-print but the flight was three hours away so I was unable to. I was sure I had printed the correct passes as I never keep old boarding passes. The woman at the help desk was no use and we both got charged 60 Euros.
I have returned to work today and checked my 'downloads' folder as it was in work that I printed them. It turns out I was right and Ryanair's system had sent me my boarding passes from September 2011 to Seville. I was not working at my present company at the time so there is no way I have printed the wrong one in error. How can I prove this to them and get a refund?

As you check-in with a ref number not your name I wonder how they knew to 'send' it to you. They don't send it to you as such you down load it from them.
Seems very curious.0 -
I guess name, date of birth and passport number when booking creates a customer ID. I can take a screen shot of my download folder which shows the date the PDF was downloaded. This should not have been possible as the boarding passes it created were for 9 months earlier and you can't re-print up to 4 hours before a flight. The folder clearly says 20.07.20.12 9.30am. I know Ryanair are notoriously bad at customer service but this is definitely an error on their part.0

Never heard of this before, it does seem strange.0 -
I'm just as confused by it as you. I copied and pasted the reservation number that is in my email from Ryanair in order to complete the online check-in process. My download folder clearly shows the date and time it was generated from the online check-in on Ryanair's website. The lady at Ryanair's help desk at the airport could see the date and time it was printed, but was unable to see the document. As I did not work at my present company last year, there is no way I can download a boarding pass from that time.0

I am willing to co-operate as much as necessary so would be very grateful if anyone could help with the correct person to contact.

Unfortunately that proves absolutely nothing. I could set my computer up so it looks like something I downloaded today was actually downloaded in 1980 should I want to!
If you can find some more reliable evidence and they still refuse you can take them to court - as it is, I don't see it going anywhere. Ryanair will just come back with "you should have checked the pass".0 -
Curious indeed.
Which of the 3 options did you use when you checked in online?0 -
Red, come on face up to it, you printed the wrong ones out, realised too late and have now learnt a very expensive lesson.
F *ck up with Ryanair and they'll empty your wallet rapidly.0 -
@SaveThe Euro - I used the first option in the list.
@exel - how can I print the wrong one from a work computer when I started in February 2012 and the boarding pass is from September 2011?
It looks like a 'my word against theirs' scenario. I wouldn't pursue it if I knew I was wrong as they don't make it easy to get in touch. Why could the woman at the help desk see the date and time I'd checked in and printed, but not open the document to view it?! It could have been cleared up there and then Ryanair make it as difficult as possible to get into dialogue with them and hope the wall of silence makes you go away.0 -
