I don't think you've read the entire thread. As already stated by the OP:

A flight in the past would not have its boarding pass available to save on the above date, so this cannot be human error by the OP.

You can present all the vague objections that you want, but the fact remains that if it was a system error more than one person would have experienced it, and so far we only have the word of one person!

Not all Ryanair customers post in this forum, believe it or not. Furthermore, if you worked in software development, you would know that some bugs manifest themselves only in very specific circumstances. It could even be down to a combination of the number of characters in the OP's name and a leading zero in the OP's passport number or some other obscure and unexpected factors.

You're really grasping at straws now!

Look at it from a legal point of view - how does the OP prove on the balance of probabilities that this was the fault of Ryanair? If it was due to his very specific circumstances he would have been able to replicate the fault, yes? :p

The problem is, I just can't see how it's possible to prove what has apparently happened. Put yourself in Ryanair's position, would you believe what you were being told (without solid evidence) ?

If it was me, I would put a written complaint in to Ryanair but not lose too much sleep over it. I'd be more annoyed with myself for not spotting it sooner.

I'm fairly sure they will just reply saying it is the customer's responsibility to check all documentation prior to travelling.

Airlines I fly with allow online checkin up to an hour before deprture, and desk checkin up to 40 minutes before, there has got to be another reason why RA use a 4 hour rule. But hey, it's their ball, and you do get enough warning to print off your boarding cards, I think our last flight it was mentioned at least 4 times in various emails

Airlines have different systems though - some don't let you check-in online at all. I wouldn't put it past them that it's for revenue generation, but then it does seem a little random if that's the case!

The timestamp shows it was downloaded recently.

What timestamp? I've never seen a "time stamp" on any of my Ryanair boarding passes.

Unless you are referring to the time the computer logs on the file? In which case, I have a file downloaded in 2013 - will you accept that as proof I'm a time traveller?

No, it might be something about the particular boarding pass concerned rather than the OP's personal data. Until Ryanair's developers find the cause of the bug, we won't know; it could be a variety of obscure circumstances.

Ive just tried to print off a boarding pass for a previous flight already taken and Ryanair wont let me do it as the 4 hr deadline has passed so it could be logging in to the wrong booking.

Once in a while it would be nice to maybe get a bit of goodwill from Ryanair, easyjet etc.

Its not like they just didn't bother and turned up at check in.
Its either a freak glitch or a mistake.
A little goodwill on this occasion would be worth a thousand adverts

Yes, that was a major shock for us all - 35 golds, 2nd place and China was completely disqualified from the entire tournament.

Was that because of the 100 year old egg and spoon race?
