just wondering how fit you guys would classify yourselves? I found some footage HERE of the various workouts, and felt like I was going to die after WATCHING the first 10 minute 'warm up' of the max interval circuit!
seems like a huge jump from the 30 day shred which I am currently trying to get to grips with :eek:know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Awww, come on people, stay with it.
I did Week 2, Day 4 at 9pm tonight (Cardio Recovery) when I got in. I didn't feel like doing it, but I did it.
I seriously don't think I am eating enough though
Not looking forward to Saturday, Week 2 Day 6 as it's the first time I have to combine two workouts:
"Pure Cardio" for 40 minutes THEN "Cardio Abs" for 16 minutes after that. Not done "Cardio Abs" before and I am dreading it.
Keep going everyone. You can do it..0 -

I am definitely not fit, I walk to work up 100 steps each day, down them at dinner, back up after dinner, then down them again at home time.
I sit behind a desk all day, that is the only exercise I do.
I have done the 6.25 mile / 10K "Great Manchester Run" in 2009, 2010 & 2012 - but I don't run all year round.
I start jogging in like February, and do the run in May. Nothing afterwards again, until February the next year.
I wouldn't call that superfit, but I will say it's NOT something just anyone can pop into the DVD player and do. I can't do a proper push up (I'm not ashamed to admit that), and my knees hurt like hell when I've done each day, but hey, if I can do this, YOU can too.
Good luck everyone, keep pushing..0 -
FAO heartbreak_star - don't give up, hang on in there, you CAN do it x.0

To go on from this, I was extremely unfit before I started the 30 Day Shred. I couldn't do a proper push up either. Heck, I couldn't even get all the way down when doing the girly versions! :rotfl:But, I am pleased to say that after doing the 30 DS, I can now do proper pushups and my fitness level has increased dramatically.
So, if you're doing 30 DS, I think that's good preparation for Insanity (which also made look at the TV in exhaustion and exclaim 'Insanity is right!!!' :rotfl:).February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
RG - What is your typical daily diet like? Maybe we can help you with that, and suggest some cheap ways of bulking out your meals if needed. You're vegetarian too, right?February wins: Theatre tickets0

I just did that the other day! It's not too bad but my abs did cramp at one point!! Honestly, the stretching from Pure Cardio cools you right down for Cardio Abs

the more footage I see of Shaun T, the more interested I become in insanity. There's something very likeable and encouraging about him isn't there? Terrifying though that he does all the exercises, talks over the top and is barely out of breath  the guy is a machine!!!
want to graduate 30DS first and see what shape I'm in after that. Am still on level one. dipped in and out for a few days and it feels slightly less like I'm going to die each time. Today was the 1st time I've done two sessions two days back to back, so it will in interesting to see what state I'm in tomorrow :eek:If I'm dying I might take tomorrow as a rest day and make Sunday day 3, trying to get fitter not kill myself
Its odd but now that I know the routines I'm finding it easier to stick it out to the end of that section and push myself further than the previous day. I'm also slowly getting the hang of moves I couldn't do at all on the first day (e.g. modified push up). Each time I do the workout, I push for one or two more reps than last time. My competitive streak is coming out
Even with the stretches in the cool down I'm noticing a difference.
One thing that I really like about the insanity system is the countdown bar they put up on screen so you can see how long is left of that section. I imagine that would be quite motivating.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Yeah, I'm vegetarian (and skint), but the whole world knows that by now!
What is my typical daily diet like? In a nutshell..... shocking.
Breakfast: Cornflakes with skimmed milk and a cup of tea
Mid morning snack: Banana or flapjack.
Dinner: Bread rolls or sandwiches with either cheese in, or cottage cheese and a few slices of cucumber (if I'm adventurous!)
Mid afternoon: Another small banana or another flapjack plus an Orange Lucozade drink.
Tea: Oven chips or usually a full tin of baked beans (- sorry!) on toast.
Evening: Apple or bar of chocolate or another bowl of cereal.
No wonder I'm a skeleton (with a belly).
I'll never bulk up.0 -

Well, it's my turn today (Saturday!)....
Dig deeper? LMAO! I seem to be getting worse, and I can't do a push up to save my life. Those guys in the workouts are inhuman, they just keep going!.0
