RG - Lentils my good man, lentils!
Relatively high in protein, and you can use them to bulk out other meals too - such as soups. Heck, you could make yourself veggie versions of spag bol and shepherd's pie with them.
Have you checked out the old style section of the forum? They have tonnes of tips and recipes etc to help you stretch your money even further.
Some nutritional info on lentils from Wiki:
With about 30% of their calories from protein, lentils have the third-highest level of protein, by weight, of any legume or nut, after soybeans and hemp.[3] Proteins include the essential amino acids isoleucine and lysine, and lentils are an essential source of inexpensive protein in many parts of the world, especially in West Asia and the Indian subcontinent, which have large vegetarian populations.[4] Lentils are deficient in two essential amino acids, methionine and cysteine.[5] However, sprouted lentils contain sufficient levels of all essential amino acids, including methionine and cysteine.[6]
Lentils also contain dietary fiber, folate, vitamin B1, and minerals. Red (or pink) lentils contain a lower concentration of fiber than green lentils (11% rather than 31%).[7] Health magazine has selected lentils as one of the five healthiest foods.[8] Lentils are often mixed with grains, such as rice, which results in a complete protein dish.
Lentils also have antinutritional factors, such as trypsin inhibitors and relatively high phytate content. Trypsin is an enzyme involved in digestion, and phytates reduce the bioavailability of dietary minerals.[9] The phytates can be reduced by soaking the lentils in warm water overnight.
Lentils are a good source of iron.[10]February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Loved Tony H! He's such a good motivator. Plus he came from a humble background- remember a post that he mentioned that he was in a lot of debt before ( he tried to be a stand up comedian but that "didn't work out" for him). Now, he is one of the most successful fitness guru.
Shaun T gained 50 lbs when he was in college. He's so much fun. Have you seen him in Hip Hop Abs and Fit Kids Club?A different Shaun T from Insanity/Asylum.

Tony definately doesn't look bad for his age, am thinking of trying P90X if I get through Insanity in one piece! Could never be veggie though, am just the opposite lol.
