    Hi all :)
I've just completed my second day,(cardio). Dear god, what a workout!! Feel great afterwards although I move too fast going from standing to the ground for push-ups and think I pulled a stomach muscle - they are muscles not used to working though and I rest as much as I need to :)All in all I am soooo glad that I am doing this :)
I have also taken a massive interest in swimming - I swam 22 length last Friday and 10 last night in 15 minutes which I really pleased about,(I have never been a big swimming fan until now) :) Possible going again tonight with my sister :)
Keep up the good work peeps :)

God, you're all brave! I saw the infomercial for this last week and was exhausted just watching it (and I've just completed 30 DS, so not as unfit as I used to be! lol).

Good luck to all doing it! I'm giving it a miss, as it's a bit too much for me and some of the moves are way too high impact (I live in a roof apartment, don't want to annoy the neighbours too much!) for my circumstances.

Even Cardio Recovery is a workout, but slow and with lots of strength and flexibility. My calves are easing back in, and I'm looking forward to Pure Cardio later!

Well done Jen and thanks Norris!

I'm so glad there is a thread about this! I keep seeing the ads on tv in the morning but have yet to make the jump and buy it. It is a lot of money and I am notorious at going full steam into something and then going cold on it after a week!
I know that the diet is a major part as well, can someone give me an idea of the sort of meals you can eat? I think it comes with recipes or is it just a meal planner?
  • There is a diet plan and I do have it, but it assumes you are using their recovery formula and has a crazy formula for working out how many calories a day you need and insists on only eating egg whites and putting extra protein in porridge and eating a lot of things I really don't like.

Instead I've been using Livestrong's MyPlate tool to track things I'm eating and let me budget for treats and things. Also, my friend hasn't followed a diet plan at all, he's still lost a stone, looks ripped and is in the best shape of his life :)

    Evening peeps :)
I have just finished my 3rd workout,(Cardio Power and Resistance).Wow - what a workout! I feel fab though :) I noticed a pair of trousers felt slightly looser today :)
I haven't been following the eating plan as such yet although plan to,(I think the recipes are quite lenient in that the book has a list of alternatives) :) What I have been doing is cutting out loads of sugary stuff - what resonated with me is reading the eating plan and how it's outlined that we eat for comfort, taste, emotion, etc and that most of us have forgotten the basic reason for eating food is to provide fuel for our bodies. I am a huge fan of all things sugary, trust me :) Nothing has ever tamed my sweet tooth but this just really hit me :) Don't get me wrong it's not that I am never going to eat treats again, I'm just cutting it down a bit because I have decided I don't need it :)
I am off now to watch 24 with hubby then bed :)
    Keep digging deep everyone :)

  • Hi everyone! Wow, we're all doing so well! Keep it going - DIG DEEP!

I have to admit I really struggle with some of the moves so I have had to adapt them until I'm comfortable with them. The power jacks are still a no no for me and I just haven't got the flexibility for those push ups that you do when your body is in a V. Hopefully I will be able to do these by the end though!
Still plodding on with Slimfast too and I am seeing results. Obviously I'm not ripped or anything just yet but I certainly feel a little tighter, especially my thighs. I've been told today that I look a little slimmer so that's a good bit of motivation. Another 35 days to go for me until my jollies!
  • I can feel my flexibility improving :)

  • by the way I'm tracking my calories using My Fitness Pal and I would recommend it to anyone. You can tap in whatever you have had to eat and it gives you the calories plus nutritional breakdown. My daily target is 1200 but with Insanity (I use vigourous calisthenics on MFP as I wasn't sure what to put it down as) it allows me to eat an extra 350 cals a day, and I always do eat these earned calories.

This week I've had a Slimfast shake for breakfast and dinner, snacks averaging about 300-400 during the day and then a big salad with grilled meats, fish for tea, plus some wholemeal bread/wrap.
  • FB,

have you tried Fat Shredder macros? 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% fats or 40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fats?
