Where is everyone buying theirs from? I'd like to give it a go but the dvds are going for insane prices on ebay (excuse the pun!)0

well! Fitness test and Day one done - kind of!
OMG - its hard! The fitness test had me pooped - just goes to show how unfit I really am! I love spinning so cardio wise, I'm not actually that bad and I do have quite a lot of strength when it comes to weights and kettlebells but I have no flexibility whatsoever so all the up, down, do this and then that, well, that really took it out of me!
I've got my results at home so I will try and type them up here too but they weren't that great.
I didn't even attempt the power jumps (think thats the right one - the one where you jump in the air and bring your legs up too, kind of like a squat mid air?) because I had tried them a few days ago after seeing them on You Tube and my right ankle has been niggling ever since and has swelling under the ankle bone - though its pretty ok today. I didn't want to risk completely !!!!!!ing it up just by doing the fitness test and then being out of action for the next month or so. I couldn't even complete the whole minute on some of the moves without a few seconds break to catch my breath! The globe jumps were very tough!
However, I decided to give the first session a go and I can really see why people say this is addictive! Although its actual torture whilst you're doing it (or trying to!), the feeling you get at the end of the workout makes it all worth it. Having said that I did not complete the whole workout. I had to take quite a few breaks and I know my form wasn't right on some of the later moves as I just cream crackered!
I've got session 2 tonight so will report back on that one.
As I've started mine on a Wednesday I'm going to carry on with the programme, including having Sunday as day off, before starting it properly - as in ticking it all off the calendar - on Monday. Then I know I'll be in sync with it all. Plus an extra few days won't hurt!
Hows everyone getting on? Has anyone else's arrived yet?0 -
Nicely done Bumble! And thanks for the blog comment, indeed go us! (And I am actually a cheerleader haha) We can so do this!!
Shelley, I'm borrowing a friend's for now. The whole lot should retail at about £100, on the official website (tryinsanity.co.uk) you can do 3 payments of £33.

I have to say that the cost was a bit  for me initially and not very MSE but having first researched them on eBay I found that they do get a good price, even secondhand, as long as the whole package is kept in good condition. You wouldn't fully recover your spend but I've seen them sell for upwards of £80 so not too bad, if for some reason you bought it and couldn't do it/decided not to carry on.
You're welcome heartbreak! A real life cheerleader?! How cool!
:j <imagine him holding pom poms!0 -
I got mine from https://www.beachbody.co.uk (flexible payment is also available). Plus, if you get the non-pirated version you can get free t-shirt from Beachbody once you have completed the program.
Shaun T is a very good motivator and Insanity is not for the faint hearted but if you "dig deep" you can get the results. Remember though that it's 80% nutrition and 20% exercise.

Motivation is the key in completing the program. Five months doing beachbody workouts, I can say that it has changed my body composition and the way I eat and live my life- achieving the best that I can be!

hi all
my insanity arrived a day early too
did the fitness test and wow it's hard but I did better than I thought I would
that was on Thursday and on Friday I went swimming and swam 22 lengths! Obviously I did rest inbetween but I am sooo shocked and mega proud of myself
Well done fb85it is addictive isn't it
Financially I definitely think it's worth it - 4 in our family are going to be using this making a huge saving on gym memberships if we had decided to go down that route
Right I really should be in bed, catch up with you all soon
Enjoying digging deep

well done heartbreak! I'm glad I'm not the only one whose calves are absolutely killing! I found it hard to walk yesterday so I was more than ready for a day off!
Today is my first day of following the programme properly. I've already done a couple of sessions but now I'm following the plan on the calendar. In a way I'm looking forward to tonight's workout as I feel great when its over but I'm knackered so need to make sure I do it as soon as I walk through the door. Once I sit on the sofa I find it so hard to get back up and get my bum in gear!

Good luck fattybumble
Insanity seems to be addictive! I'm still blogging away, and this may be TMI but I wrote yesterday's just after the workout and actually sweated on the laptop...eww!
The rest of me is okay - it's just my calves! Argh!!
