    Pavlov, re: Fruits
I go by glycemic index (GI)
    http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/whattoeat/a/glycemicindlist_3.htm

I will eat fruits in low GI- berries, banana, cherries- and only consume 1-2 (only because I'm in a Fat Shredder phase 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% fats)

I don't know if people here watched Hungry for Change (I posted a link before when it was free to watch). Anyway, one of the commentators said that we shouldn't be thinking "fruits and vegetables" but rather "vegetables and fruits."

Unfortunately, when I buy veggies some get rotten because I tend to forget them due to my hectic work schedule. My solution is to start drinking Mean Green. When I can afford to buy a juicer then I will start juicing. (http://juicejournals.com/category/juice-recipes/phils-mean-green-juice/)

Was that following a proper nutrition regime as well? That's a great success, well done :) :T

  • no regime as such,
i just cut out refined sugar, but everything else stayed the same.

by day 30 i was feeling like i wanted to chuck the dvd's out the window. i was absolutley shattered. that week of recovery felt worse to me than the rest of the program

    Well done again!

Am I right in saying Week 3 Day 1 is just the fitness test? Well, I say "just" but that means if today is a day off and tomorrow the fitness test - something hard is coming :p
    .
  • You've already done all the workouts that you'll do for this month, if that makes sense. After the second week, there's nothing new till recovery week. The fit test is on its own because you are supposed to go flat out and do more reps than you think you can :) - hope you did well!

I beat Chris on the fit test on the power knees ^_^ but pretty much failed at some of the other stuff lol!

The really hard stuff comes in after recovery week...I had a look at Max Interval Training from month 2 and the stuff that is workout grade now is warmup grade in month 2...excited!! Halfway through week 3 now and still motivated :)
