The number I quoted is the Lloyds TSB Recovery Centre (called the Andover service recovery centre as, umm, it's in Andover!). There is an answerphone service, but the message box is full so I can't leave a message. I'll ring the court again!0 -
Further to Stephens post, I have contacted the court who say I can give the bank reasonable time to pay and if not then issue a warrant. I'm guessing 14 days is reasonable time as that's how long they were given in the original claim, but how do I let L-TSB know this if they won't answer the phone/return calls/allow you to leave a message?
Thanks0 -
I got a judgement against the Halifax. They wrote to say that the forms had been sent to the wrong dept etc (not my fault), and that they could go to court to get the judgement overturned, but it was too much trouble, so here`s your cheque. Could they have done so at this stage - I don`t know. Has it ever happened?.
i'd like to know this one too because i think i might have given a branch of Lloyds that doesn't deal with the complaints of clients.
Anyone?0 -
Write a letter?Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
Write a letter?
Well yes, that would be logical apart from L-TSB's inability to reply to letters!
Anyway I've since spoken to L-TSB solicitors who were helpful, they say they have not yet recived a copy of the Judgement as the postal address was to the Andover Recovery people. They suggested that as judgement had been served, they would be authorised to make the payment but suggested I call back later in the week.
Does anyone know if the banks get sent any different paperwork from the courts? If not I'll scan in my stuff and email it to L-TSB's solicitors0 -
Hello,
We also had fun actually getting the money from HSBC after judgement was entered. My husband 'phoned their solicitiors and spoke to his bank manager on numerous occasions, and nobody seemed to know anything. Until last week, when on Monday they replied and said "actually we did return the defence in time, we faxed it on 2nd May (deadline was 17th Aprilish), and it's gone to the district court" by Wednesday the money had miraculously appeared in my account!
So my advice on this would be to phone the solictors daily, and just keep pushing it through0 -
Have a read of the above posts and check the link for the FAQ on MCOL0

They are due you the full amount and your court costs and they are in no position to take the case back to the court or ask you to sign anything until such time as you have received the money. Have a look at the MCOL FAQ as above.
Thanks Edinburgh lass
Sometimes during this process you feel confident until a low baller is thrown in which confuses you .Its good to draw on the experience from the people on this forum.
I sent the letter back to Barclays on Friday and signed the letter as requested as the lawyer i spoke to from Barclays said "Imagine all of the bad press if we didnt pay"
And today (the following Monday ) Barclays put the full amount £4600 into my account .
Thanks again for everyones help0 -
I'm claiming back my bank charges from TSB (£3210.19)
gone through the entire process, filed with MCOL after 14 days no response from the bank, gained judgement by default on the 14th May. It's been a week now does anyone know what to do after gaining a judgement? I have tried contacting the bank yet can't get through to speak to anyone. It sends you to an answering service which is always full.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.0 -
The bank has 14 days to comply with the judgement. If they don't then it's just a matter of sending in the bailiffs (unless of course they appeal the warrant or the judgement).
Either way, if you can't get through on the phone write to them and inform them of their loss and the fact they have 14 days to deposit the funds in your account or you'll send in the bailiff's to seize their TV and computersHamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0
