I received a judgement from MoneyClaim online last Tuesday, I am just wondering how long I should wait for Lloyds TSB to pay me before I send in the bailiffs? How long has anyone else had to wait? Did you really have to send the bailiffs in?
Would really like to hear from anyone who has been in this position.
PS I am waiting for £5,057!!0 -
Help!!
My judgement order was issued against Abbey on 2 May 07, but I have not had any money from them, so tried ringing them and eventually got through to them to be told that they had filed defence with the court, but there appears to be a problem with the court and that their defence wasn't being recognised on the online system! They are going to apply to overturn my judgement! I am totally fed up with this as I have been in the process since Christmas! Soooooo, I pressed the issue warrant button on MCOL!
Has anyone had this happen to them or can anyone tell me what my chances are of actually getting my money?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm getting scared now!0 -
If you've had a default judgement then they can't really do anything.
It sounds like they didn't put their defence in in time and are now trying to blame the system. I rather doubt their appeal will be successful. Sounds like more BS.
I'd be surprised if your payment doesn't magically show up soon!Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0 -

I have recieved a letter from barclays offering to settle following my judgement win by default (No defence offered )
However they want me to sign a form asking for the judgement to be set aside which they state in their letter will be forwarded to the court after they pay the money into my account.
Is this wise ie ( can they then refuse to pay me once the judgement has been set aside. ) Or do you think because of the publicity they are going to pay up.
Has anyone else taken this route ?? Im only loosing out on the court costs and am considering accepting the offer .
Oh and they also stated that they could take the matter back to court but have decided not to because of the time and inconvinience for them and me (isn't that nice of them !)
Any advice would be appreciated. Chris0 -

By my understanding of what you say, you have won by default and the bank so far haven't paid you? They are due you the full amount and your court costs and they are in no position to take the case back to the court or ask you to sign anything until such time as you have received the money. Have a look at the MCOL FAQ as above.0 -
I got a judgement against the Halifax. They wrote to say that the forms had been sent to the wrong dept etc (not my fault), and that they could go to court to get the judgement overturned, but it was too much trouble, so here`s your cheque. Could they have done so at this stage - I don`t know. Has it ever happened?.0

Hi All,
I've been following the advice of this superb site and Lloyds TSB ignored everything (recorded post for all my letters!) so I issued my claim for £3861.62 inc. costs against lloyds tsb via the Money Claim On-line service. L-TSB didn't issue a defence etc. and so after 15 days judgement for me was entered. But I can't get hold of L-TSB to discuss when they will be refunding me the money, infact L-TSB have not acknowledged the claim at all.
So all I get on the Andover Recovery telephone number (01264 834307) is the 2 options, then "we are experinencing high call volumes - leave a message" and no call back!
So, what else can I do, how long should I wait for? Any tips?
Thanks0 -
If thats the number for the court bailiffs, you will just have to keep plugging away. A call to the court, to keep them in the picture, wouldn't do any harm. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0
