Anyone please advise. Judgement has been made after I won a claim by default against Barlays bank. Barclays responded by offering to pay up in full but with four conditions attached., one of which is to withdraw the judgement. This Ive ignored but how long should I reasonably give them to settle even though Ive asked for immediate settlement.0

Same has happened to me. I have ignored. I have applied for warrant of
execution which cost £55, but should be added to costs paid by Barclays.0 -
I have claimed on a closed LLoydsTSB platinum credit card, and won by default as claim was not defended.
They are now saying that they will credit my closed account with the monies within 40 days (I presume they mean on day 40). Only after that date can the monies then be paid to me by cheque or credited to my bank account which will take a further few days.
Seems to be very serious delay tactics as well as a bit odd - any advice folks?
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -

Hi
I have taken the Bank all the way from mcol to having a warrant issued agaist them to recover my money, however things are still not as simple as it should be, the Bailiffs after over a month still have not executed the warrant and today I have spoken the Manager over the Bailiffs to ask why !
She told me that the Warrant should be executed shortly but also said that if the Bank still do not Pay up there is no gaurantee that the Bailiffs can collect the monies owed , mainly because in the Banks Foyer only Furniture exists and that they wil not be able to gain access to the valuables in the Bank ???
How can this be !! can the Bank stop the Bailiffs entering there Building !!!
This is what I thought the Bailiffs were there for ?
Any one else been told this information !!
Regards and good luck to all.

Sorry if I appear silly, but,
Claim Filed with MCOL for charges from Abbey of £1168.00 on 2/3/07
letter received from Abbey to say they were filing a defence, a copy of their defence was attached.
MCOL site read claim status acknowledged 28 days later ie. 30 April 07.
Got excited, pressed button for Judgement by default!
MCOL current state reads that Judgement is issued and that order has been sent.
Does this mean that Abbey failed to file their defence that they so kindly sent me a copy of and that I have now won?
If so, how long do they have before they pay me or I send in the Bailiffs!
Any help would be appreciated!0 -
