I have one son 21 years old.Had an ectopic pregnancy 14 years ago and thats when all my problems started.Anyway having another child wasnt to be and now i will have to wait till grandchildren come along (if they ever do as son and his girlfriend are adamant they dont want any children, but hey they are still young and may change their minds)

I have a girl (20) and boy (turning 19) - 16 months apart. I then have a boy of 8. If I have a look at how close my first 2 were, playing together and basically intertaining themselves and then look at how 'lonely' my youngest was, having to entertain himself while I was busy etc, I would rather have 2 as close together and get it finished with. I was still in 'nappy' mode when the 2nd was born so there was no change to my routine as such. With the 3rd, having had such a large break between the 1st 2 and 2nd, it was as if he was an only child really and it broke my heart. Still does as he is now on holidy and can't have his friends around all the time, so daddy is spending time with him, which is good, but it would have been good for him to have a sibling to play with.

    Hi :hello:
at the moment we have no children and one dog (shuts the parents up for a while) anyway sometimes I like the idea of children and sometimes I dont other times I just dont think about it!!!!
it is outrageous that people think they can dictate what is right for you!!!!
Humans are just never satisfied take certain members of my family
ohhh you must get married! - so I get married now it's ohhhh you must have children! oooh you must have another! ooohhh you must have a boy/girl if you have two girls/boys! it never steps
DH feels its birth right to go forth and breed as he come from a big family kind of family
Selfishly I do worry about the toll on my body and my ability to deal with sleep deprivation + the other downsides that no one bothers to tell you about until you have had babies!

Right now my plumbings not working so its being investigated in the meantime Im not gonna worry about what I cant control so we shall see!
:j Where there is a will there is a way - there is a way and I will find it :j

3 gorgeous girls, 2 years 51 weeks between all three of them. Who cares what's between their legs, there is nothing like that lovely fresh new baby smell.....I'd have ten.....hubby has retired to the garage for the next sixteen years!

DH and I have been trying to conceive for nearly 5 years and I get asked on a very regular basis when we're going to have a baby. I also get told that I'll find it harder to conceive as I get older  (I'm 29). We're not eligible for funded IVF treatment so we're having to save up for it. I'm sick and tired of friends, relatives, my mum, her friends and even complete strangers asking me when I'm going to have children. I don't want to tell everyone our problems but I'd wish they'd all keep their nosy beaks out.

    I have DD5, DS 4, DD2 9 months and I am 15weeks pregnant with number 4.

There is 10mths between my first 2 then a 3.5yr gap between number 2 and 3 and when number 4 is born there will be a 16 month gap between number 3 and 4.

My older sister is 3 years older than me and my younger brother is 4 years younger than me. OH has 1 older brother with a 4 year gap between them.
Wife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart
  • I have 1 DD who's 15 months. She was concieved following our 1st IVF treatment. We are very unlikely to have anymore (unless we have a miracle, as my mother thinks may very well happen:rolleyes:) We are infertile due to my DH having chemotherapy for cancer when he was 21. Most people know we had IVF, so understand she is likely to be an only one. My DH is happy to only have one. Im not sure, but I do wonder if the reason I want more is due to the fact I dont have the same choice as most people do. (Without going through the financial and emotional strains of IVF).

Noozan, I wish you all the best for your IVF treatment. Talking of age, I remember one of the consultants just before we were put on the IVF waiting list commenting casually that I was relatively young at 31, which was quite nice to hear!
