Challenge to myself - no unecessary spending for a month

Thansk BigPaws - went and got the L'Occitaine rose body spray at lunch and it's luuuuuverly and feels like a real treat now that I don't get this kind of thing so often. It will last ages, so that's my excuse for spending £14 on something so naughty - plus my skin is sensitive so I can't always get the cheaper body sprays (my excuse and I'm sticking to it...)
I think each month I will get one nice treat like that - especially as I am working so hard / being strict with myself on the Olympic challenge and also have e-mailed / pm'd so many folks re the concept of free cash from cashback sites, 1 treat isn't much after a whole month of doing without non-essentials and I think everyone doing this no spend for a month should have 1 thing they can treat themselves to when the month is up xMFW #185

Hi guys hope you are having a good day and welcome to the newbies to this string!
It was so tiring going back to work today, I was really grumpy this morning!!
No spend yesterday, have been food shopping this eve, but only spent £19.07 - should last us a whole week as well! I am busy chomping my way through the freezer contents (it badly needs defrosting)...if I ever see a fish finger again :rotfl:
I have just made my sarnie for tomorrow, (tuna :rotfl: those poor fish will swim even faster if they see me coming) so am all set for an NSD! No PO til Thurs, my arms need a rest
Good luck for tomorrow guys

Morning all..... well I didn't spend much yesterday, had to get DD a load of nappies, for nursery and here so I went to Boots as had a voucher that came through the door for £3 off when you spend £10, also I had a £10 voucher from pigsback, my total spend came to £20ish, so I only spent £7!!! I bought 2 packs of Pampers , cotton wool, baby lotion & talc! x"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

I just had to ring work and say I'm not going in - I feel terrible. And now I feel guilty as I've turned down 9 hours of work and I need the money
am going to bed in a minute and hopefully I'll feel better later.

Also looking forward to you joining us Eagerlearner :T
I have been out and spent some money this lunch time but it was planned - it's a year since I met OH tomorrow so I have bought him a card and present. Had allowed £10 but it came to £7.20 so within budget. Felt he deserved it as he's taking me out for nice meal tomorrow night :j
Apart from that I won't be spending anything else today.
Only 10 days for me till payday now!! :T
Let me know how you're doing.
Speak later

Winkle I am supposed to be dieting as well, but as you say if you take something with you, you can plan what you eat and stick to the healthier choices, and not spend any extra
Had an NSD today :j got to post more stuff at the PO tomorrow, does anyone else notice that they charge different amounts for parcels of the same weight at different branches?!
Nicola I hope you are feeling better now.
