Challenge to myself - no unecessary spending for a month

Hi all
Glad you're feeling a bit better Nicola - if you need a day off then that's what you must do. One day off is better than doing too much when you're ill and making yourself even worse which leads to even more days off in the long run!
So pleased at how well everyone's doing with this challenge - I think we must be setting some good habits for ourselves which will make us think more about where our money goes and making sure we spend it on worth while things, not just rubbish.
Keep up the good work everyone - I'm up for a NSD tomorrow. Have already made my lunch to take to work - and I always make sure I have a couple of healthy snacks too so I don't get tempted to go out and buy chocs, crisps, etc. :A

Hope you are feeling better Nicola! I had a NSD yesterday and hoping for another today. One of my customers is being annoying and saying he wants a discount on my hourly rate - even though we have only worked together a month, and he has canceled twice (giving an hours notice each time!) and also has rarely had a full day with me - keeps changing the hours! AND owes me 2 invoices - grr - not a good start to my day!MFW #185

Hi everyone
aiming for a NSD here. brought enough food with me to get me through the day (and evening if i have to work late).
so sorry for failing yesterday.
went to my weight watchers meeting at lunchtime as a returning gold member. if you go over your goal by 5lbs you have to pay again... i was 4.5lbs overso escaped paying!!!
need some milk and some gas and elec but that can all come out of shopping/bills money. a little tip here which I have found works really well for boyf and I. we take out £125 each a month and put this in a jar and we use this money for food and bills. this way we always have money in the house. so if i have to pick up something from the shop on the way home, i know i can spend my own money and then just take it out of the jar. this also works well because boyf would always be telling me to pick him something up from the shop and i would feel bad asking him for the money esp if it was only £1!
and because our gas and elec is on a meter, we never have the situation were its rum out and we have no money on us.
and if we ever have any money left over we use this for a takeaway***PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT***

Been to work this morning - got a slight headache now so am taking it easy. Glad I went this morning - am at work again at 6pm, so I have to do some piano practise and get my room sorted and organised
Bought my mum a new biscuit tin which was £8.99 () but this was paid out of my tips and a necessary i think
I should have more tips to collect tonight from work so I'm not too worrried.
ALSOI paid off my overdraft today! £50 in the clear. am so happy about that
Now I've just got to work out a budget for my next term at uni so hopefully I wont go into it at all.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

I managed to have an NSD yesterday! WOO WOO!!!
Really pleased!
Woke up today and checked my bank accounts and first direct have refunded £88 in bank charges, so really chuffed
Got lunch with the girls from work today so will be spending - I had already agreed to this before I signed up so kinda feel obliged to go. According to my spreadsheet I have only spent 35p this week so I don't mind.
What are your plans for the weekend? I am walking into town and back again so saving on bus fare, going to the library and defrosting the fridge - so all free!***PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT***
