I think so Winkle - think it'll be an incentive to continue when I see how much I've managed to save (and not spend on rubbish)!!
I will let you all know at the end of the month how I've done anyway - can't wait to find out exact figures!! :jOfficial DFW Nerd - Member 408 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
Oh my, what a hard day. I've been waitressing at a wedding all day and have just got back. Spent over half of it coughing and spluttering. Was meant to be going back at 6:30pm for the night shift, but Matt (my boss) said I could have the night off. Am so relieved, going to have a relax and an early night, as i'm back at work at 8am in the morning.
Hope everyone else has had a good day. as usual, a NSD for me! i can't believe its nearly one month since this challenge started. Strange!

Hi All! have been visiting my Mum for a few days - and spending far less than I feared! Normally a visit like this means I treat myself to anything I fancy in the way of clothes, shoes, etc. This time, no! Just entrance to a couple of gardens to treat Mum! Can't believe how quickly "my" month is rushing by now. Hopefully I'll have something left over at the end to put extra towards a card payment. So far, looking good! And although I'm sad the holidays are ending, once I'm back at school on Monday there'll be even less temptation to spend.Resolution:

NSD for me in cash, but did spend £16 on clothes... almost doesn't feel like you have spent it when it is a switch transaction though...MFW #185

Hi everyone
sorry it's took me a while to log on today but have been making the most of the lovely weather and have just been sitting in the garden all afternoon reading and relaxing while OH is at work. Could have gone out but was enjoying the peace n quiet.:)
It's another NSD for me today - not out tonight as OH is working anyway so will just do the housework I've been putting off all day!!!!!:D
Tomorrow will be a NSD apart from the grocery shop (which I should have done today!!:rotfl: )
Have already written my list so shouldn't be too bad as I've now got into the habit of sticking to my list throughout this months challenge!!:T
Not long to go now on this months challenge and I'm feeling pleased that I've actually still got some of my wages left!:j Hope I can keep it up for another week then I can see how I've done.
Another good thing about doing this challenge is that I've had the renewal notice for my car insurance through today for 6th May and I'm not panicking because I know I'll have saved enough this month to cover it!!:T :T
Carry on the good work everyone.
Speak tomorrow

Hi all Nicola glad you are feeling better and congrats on paying off the overdraft!
Chele I know what you mean about having wages left at the end of the month, that's only happened to me once before but I think I might make that twice at the end of the month, thanks to you starting this challenge!
It sounds as though everyone is doing ok, especially if you think of what you would have spent if you weren't doing this!!
I had to buy a present, which wasn't budgeted for, £15, but apart from that and the PO, haven't spent anything, yay! I added up my PO fees yesterday....£65!! All that money Ive wasted buying things I wouldn't want a few months later..
Ive got to go now, got overtime this morning, have a great day guys and catch up with you all later! Claire xI have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Hi all
Lovely day again today - already been out in the garden for a bit and on the phone to my sister (her bill!!!!:D )
Nicola, I don't like to think of you sitting there crying - is there anyone else you can call if you can't get hold of your dad?
Claire, I'm glad you're doing well and enjoying the challenge. I can't believe the month is nearly over already - seems to have flown by!:j
Hope your dad gets back to you soon Nicola.
Keep up the good work everyone.
Speak later

Forgot to say went to Tesco this morning and spent £32.39 on groceries so still on course and in budget! YAY!Official DFW Nerd - Member 408 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
I do too - she's a bit better but I dont know whats wrong, and because its the weekend, the vets aren't open. Plus I dont have the car because mum has had to go to see my Grandma who is now in hospital. Everything bad happens at once right? Today will be a NSD.
